God guides everyone in everything they do? So then I guess every decision a person makes is ordained by God then? So chewing gum in class against the principal's rule would just show that it was God's will for the principal to make the rule and for you to break it?

I hate how organized religion is SO hung up on obedience! The Nazis were obedient...were THEY good? No. I think a better gauge of character is to look at heart and intentions, not blind and stringent obedience. After all, we were given free will for a reason...it's a terrible waste of free will to always obey, obey, obey! As long as you're not harming anyone it should be ok. Where would we be if we always did as we were told? Would we be happier? Maybe, maybe not...but we'd be more ignorant and less powerful than we are now.
