Quote# 35616
This is an overstatement of my comments. What I have stated is this: "IF SCIENCE CONTRADICTS SOMETHING CLEARLY TAUGHT IN THE BIBLE, SCIENCE IS WRONG". And they are.
Science says man is basically "good". They are wrong because the Bible clearly teaches man is sinful. Science says man evolved from apes. They are wrong because the Bible clearly teaches otherwise. Science denies the global Biblical Flood. They are wrong.
Again, where the Bible CLEARLY teaches something, Science is WRONG no matter how "proof" they have to contradict it.
Interestingly, the Bible fairly plainly implies the earth is round (Isaiah 40:22; Job 26:7), even though man (including people who beleive in God) have gone back and forth.

Yeah, and then it turns around and mentions the "four corners of the earth": Acts 10:11, Revelation 7:1, Revelation 20:8.

It also says that it's flat, as Jesus was taken to the top of a mountain and was able to see the entire planet from it, only possible with a flat Earth. So not only is it flat, it's fucking tiny.

"If there is proof it is wrong because I am always right because the Bible says so!"
Except the Bible contradicts itself, so if it were all true the universe would've collapsed in on itself.

Honestly I think that the "four corners of the earth" and "mountaintop where you can see everything" really ought to be taken as poetic license.
Most people had also figured out that the world was round. It's not that hard to work out.

looks like someone needs remedial evolution. If he's lucky his grandchildren might be able to walk upright.

"It is he who siteth upon the circle of the earth..." does not say the earth is a sphere, it says it is round. Infact the verse before talkks about "...the foundations of the earth"
Most of the bible says the earth is flat, those parts quoted were merely vague interoptations.

If reality contradicts the bible, reality must be wrong!

clearly states the world is round AND flat (like a pancake) and the sky's a big domed fabric with stars attached to it.

Well, Jesus could see "all the nations of the Earth". There was probably a mountaintop where you could see Egyptian, Roman, and Parthian territory all at once, and maybe nobody else counted as a "nation"?
...ok, I don't actually see any reason to take that phrase literally, but I'm surprised no one's used that.
