Her father edited it to take out a lot of the sex that is commonplace in a teenage girls diary. He also removed the parts where she was critical of her parents.
Other than that, he left it the same. I'm not sure if you can see it, but the diary is in the possession of the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation. I'm sure that writing experts can tell the writing of an adult man from that of a 13 year old girl.

I've actually heard this rumor before. I think ill read more about this now that this has reminded me of it, but honestly, isn't it sort of childish to just blurt out a knee-jerk reaction against this "MaGZ"? They didn't say "It's a forgery, p.s. jooz suck" Grow up a little, guys.

To clear it up:
Anne Frank's father found (or was shown) his daughters diary after WW II.
When shown to museums etc., ball pen corrections were found inside, this kind of pen only having been invented after WW II.
There these rumors come from, but the documents have been auhenticated since, because the father only edited (as someone above me already said).
It makes me sad if people forget the second half of the events associated to somethng...
