Funny, I don't think all the holy women in the Bible were weak, wimpy doormats. For a pastor, you don't seem to have read the Bible that thoroughly.
I can't say I'll loose many nights of sleep because of this. You know, I may even use that as a pickup line. "Hey babe, what say you we go over to your place and disobey scripture?"
I don't think it'll work very well, but damn, it'd be awesome to try.
And as a women, my preference is for men that do not take Scripture seriously and who believe I deserve to be treated like an intelligent, independent human being, rather then a pet/beast of burden/sex slave.
He says that like it's a bad thing. Can anyone here imagine being married to one of these Fundie end-timers? The horror.
Besides, some of these women that can't quit quoting the Bible or preachers are hardly quiet submissive women, like a lot of Fundies they think the power of Jesus within them demands they're in everyone face about it. For every Biblical advice to be one way there seems to be Biblical advice to be the opposite.
Do you think Todd Palin gets a minute of peace or control? Why do you think he hides out so much? A strong man in control would have kept the kids out of the Sarah medicine show.

PROTIP: The role of Lara Croft in the "Tomb Raider" films was played by Angelina Jolie: an Atheist.
Suck it, PastorGreg.
- Rebekah worked with Jacob to fool Issac into giving him the blessing that was earmarked for Esau
- Deborah was a judge who showed up a male general named "Barak" (as she said she would if he enlisted her.)
- Esther spoke up for her people, and in doing so saved them from genocide.
Evidently a dramatic ignorance of scripture doesn't inhibit one from becoming a "pastor."
Confused?
