Quote# 35984

So don't believe the angry spokespeople. Radical homosexual activists hate marriage because fundamentally they hate God, and the guilt of both drives them to extremes.

So don't believe the angry Fundies. radical religious activists hate free-thought because fundamentally they hate any freedoms except freedom to practice THEIR religion, and the mindlessness of both positions drives them to asshattery.

I get the feeling that in many cases, they don't even see practicing their religion as exercising a freedom, but rather as fulfilling their duty to God. (Whether they see and accept this consciously might be a different story; Robert T. Lee-types are hopefully few and far between)

So for such ones, you should revise as follows:

"Do not hearken to angry dispensationalists. Such ones hate free thought because they hate freedom itself, along with all else save God and divine destiny, and such madness drives them into corruption."

Or thereabouts...

So don't believe the angry spokespeople. Radical Christian activists hate same sex marriage because fundamentally they hate people in love, and the guilt of both drives them to extremes.

Hey I know this guy. He made a very raunchy and yet completely unfounded critique against Mass Effect. Don't listen to a thing he writes it's all bullshit.

1. If a "radical homosexual activist" is an atheist, s/he can't hate God, because s/he doesn't believe God exists.

2. If homosexuals do hate God, I can see why. God makes them homosexual, and then tells them that being homosexual is a sin. I'd hate God, too.

"So don't believe the angry spokespeople."

But I don't believe anything you say already!

3/8/2008 11:39:11 PM

Doctor Whom

Radical homosexual activists hate marriage, which is why they are pushing for the right to be married. Radical homosexual activists hate God, which is why they've set up gay-affirming churches.

3/8/2008 11:40:23 PM

Septic Sceptic

So if I were a gay man, I would hate marriage and God. This would make me guilty, so I would be driven to extreme measures... like wanting to get married?

Maybe it would make more sense if I read the whole article, but there's only so much barely disguised "I-hate-gays-I-hate-them-so-very-much-why-won't-any-of-them-go-to-bed-with-me" sentiment one can take.

There are only so many times you can use synonyms of "vile" before you reveal yourself as a denial case, Kev.

Mister Spak

They hate marriage, that's why they're trying to get it for themselves. Got it.

3/9/2008 12:03:03 AM

Old Viking

I know a homosexual who hates anchovies.

3/9/2008 12:07:30 AM

Then why the fuck do I want to get married?

3/9/2008 12:10:17 AM

The Devil's Advocate

Radical homosexual activists hate marriage ...

I suppose that's why so many of them want to get married, eh?

3/9/2008 12:15:47 AM

Old Viking - Sounds fishy to me.

3/9/2008 12:17:24 AM

As a homosexul male I can say that anchovies are for the lesbians. Sausage and pepperoni are for the gay men.

mmmmm pepperoni.

Caustic Gnostic

I'm het, but I'd rather be buggered by Bruno von Ledermann than succumb to fundinoia.

So don't believe the angry spokespeople
You? Okay, got it.

3/9/2008 1:57:04 AM

Radical homosexual activitists want marriage.

3/9/2008 2:26:57 AM

One of my gay friends hates sushi but loves sashimi. I have no idea why. Guilt, I suppose.

3/9/2008 2:36:13 AM

D Laurier

Sorry but there is no evidence that any radical homosexuals hate either marriage OR gOd.
Please try again

3/9/2008 3:19:00 AM

Lady Death

If they hate marriage so much then why would they want to get married?

3/9/2008 4:34:05 AM

So what does a non-radical, non-activist homosexual look like? One of you?

3/9/2008 5:03:27 AM

Earl of Lade

Kevin McCullough, epic failure!

3/9/2008 5:14:30 AM

You are just as angry and extreme. So I won't believe your side either.

Wandering Discordian

I think this is the guy who wrote the incredibly moronic article about Mass Effect on Townhall a couple months back! Penny Arcade even did a comic on it, and Tycho gave him the benefit of the doubt, idiocy wise. Looks like he was wrong.

The comic: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/01/14

3/9/2008 7:44:15 AM

And we're following your advice. Or aren't you the angry spokeperson of one of the least credible newspapers?
