Not to mention shiny mirror.

I seriously doubt this.

-You're recounting an event you didn't witness, and
-This guy is cheering at the deaths of his compatriots?
You're a dirty lying little liar.
3/9/2008 10:29:42 AM
My liar detector is going crazy here.
3/9/2008 10:30:11 AM
Lying for Jesus!

[Proof needed, liar]

There is no heaven for breakers of the 9th Commandment.

Where hubby worked, there was a "nice American." Most people got along with him and this guy rarely, if ever, spoke of his patriotism. He would often bring treats to the office that he made and the people would rave about how good they were. Well, when the American invasion of Iraq happened, He CHEERED LOUDLY as he, along with the other employees, watched the buildings go down on TV. He shouted with joy that his "brothers" had succeeded and that we Iraqis "deserved what we got." It sure SHOCKED his fellow employees.
3/9/2008 10:48:11 AM
Can you guess what Henry Rollins song I'm thinking about?
Seriously, even if the guy thought like that, to say that sort of thing on the day he'd have to have a total death wish.
3/9/2008 10:50:07 AM
Obvious case of lying for Jesus
3/9/2008 10:51:10 AM
No... Actually I believe most Muslims are against what the radicals are doing, which is why they are radicals.
3/9/2008 11:01:22 AM
If he really cheered like that,he probably would have had the crap beaten out of him by all the other employees.
3/9/2008 11:14:25 AM
This story lacks coherence for two reasons:
a)a person who acts "nice" try to act "nice" in public after something so horrifying. They "cheer" in private.
b)he would have been questioned(as many other muslims who never cheered)about the fact.
Either he wasn't very coherent or you're not. I don't know what's worse.
3/9/2008 11:50:18 AM
I call shenanigans...
I know plenty of muslims who said it was a terrible thing. Then again "deserved what we got" is also kind of true. The US support of terrorism in other countries finally came back to bite them hard. After all Israel is nowt but US sponsored state where the ghettoisation (hah!) of a minority culture based on religion (hah!)is the norm. While maintaining a military culture that dispossess many young israelis into a culture of hate which will never ever stop. I have met a fair few of their draft dodgers while travelling (quite a few like India due to the lack of rigid rules and general freedom to practice religion) and its sad. They are told all these things about palestinians (And vice versa) that just is not "true". One of them told me the punishment for a soldier killing a Palestinian child is actually smaller than draft dodging...
While Osama Bin Laden himself was once a "friend" of the US. Remember kiddies, Rambo 3 shows US thoughts on "Osama's buddies" back in the day. And the support for such people caused the formation of things such as the afghani Taliban, the NWFP, Chechnya and indeed Kashmir. Places where countless innocent people have perished thanks to the US support of "terrorism".
This is excluding the terrorism funding for the IRA and South America...
No one deserves terrorism. But to turn a blind eye to all the woe the US has caused other countries and blame it on "muslims" is not even understanding why a fair section of the world does not trust the US.

This here is Mai'ja Suck'ka, an alien from the planet Ezi-tufool. He is regarded as being the most gullible entity in the entire universe (aside from certain fundies).
He doesnt' believe you.
3/9/2008 11:56:32 AM
Well, no wonder he cheered - after all those Anthrax "treats" weren't doing the job.
3/9/2008 12:02:53 PM
There's a slim possibility that this is true, and the Muslim had a really tasteless sense of humour. I knew a Muslim in high school who was sort of like that, but he was a good enough comedian that everyone knew he was joking. The fact that this was in Australia as opposed to the USA probably helped as well.
That said, I'm going with the odds and calling lying for Jesus, or, as FMG said, shenanigans.
*Grabs a broom*
3/9/2008 12:29:13 PM
As everyone else has said- such lies!
I seem to remember christianity having some rules about not lying, Kristine.
When I first heard about 911, my first reaction was "What's the World Trade Centre?" Seriously, I know how ignorant that makes me sound, but bear in mind I'm not American and I've never been to the US...plus that I hadn't seen the film of it happening at that point. The only time I'd ever heard of the WTC was in that Simpsons episode. I know a lot more about it now, mind you!
3/9/2008 12:50:52 PM
Are you sure? Even if he was happy, what idiot would loudly cheer about it in front of Americans?
3/9/2008 1:22:28 PM
@ Lt Fred: as the US invasion of Iraq wasn't designed to mass murder thousands of innocent people, the analogy doesn't really work.
Still lying for Jesus though.
3/9/2008 1:26:23 PM
Man 9/11 was bad, but America did sorta train the afghans when they fought against the russians, even sold weapons like stinger missiles....
I kinda doubt this "nice Muslim" would have cheered loudly when this happened - mean in a room full of non muslims, he may have got a kicking?
3/9/2008 1:27:45 PM
Sounds like lying for Jesus to me. Otherwise this Muslim is bipolar or something.
3/9/2008 2:07:40 PM
Oh yes, I am sure he just celebrated right there in the office for all to see. He danced a jig, cheered loudly, and proclaimed his love for Islam. Right in the middle of his American work place, surrounded by Americans, on the day America was attacked.
I believe it. Or, not.
3/9/2008 2:22:33 PM
And you cheer Dumbya's destruction of the 4th amendment. The nice muslim has an excuse for hating america. You don't. You are a traitor.
