[On Huckabee quiting the presidential race]
no way - first words I said when I saw the post - It was probably the best thing to do, McCain I think may of been killing him with Delegate votes
Huckabee I think may of been for all of us Christians, the last hope for Jesus in this Country From Here on Out to the Rapture.

I think Jesus still has more of a chance in this country than you realize...
You have got to the love the fundies' ability to underestimate the influence of their own like-minded mob in favor of feeding their own delusions of persecution. It is a tendency that is as delicious as it is disturbing...
Is there any hope for your grammar?. Apparently, nope, since you're unable to understand that, when a person gives up, means that even he is not very convinced of his own possibilities.
I hate that guy, and I'm kinda glad he dropped out, but then I remember that I want the Rapture to happen.
*sigh* Maybe he'll run in 2012.
Little Shrubby has pissed away just about all the respect that other countries might have felt for the U.S.- we don't need some other fundy nutjob finishing us off.
Even most Republicans realize how bad they look with Bush for their posterboy.
I think people might have come to their senses and won't let the fundies bully us into voting for another dud president.
To be honest, Huckabee had about as much chance of getting elected President as the average person would have not getting burnt running through Hell in gasoline soaked underwear.
Every so often, we either get buffaloed or feel sorry for the fundies and let them have their way in politics, and then we all end up wirh egg on our collective faces.
"McCain I think may of been killing him with Delegate votes"
Deadly delegates?
"Huckabee I think may of been for all of us Christians, the last hope for Jesus in this Country From Here on Out to the Rapture."
How many last hopes do you guys need before you realize that the rapture is nonsense?
Kinda' gives hope to the rest of us. You know, to know that the country is NOT full of fundies. If Huckabee had had enough support and votes, it might have shown a christian position. But, since he's done for because he can't carry himself and doesn't have enough support, I can at least breathe a sigh of relief that an evangelical christian will not be running my country, and is not supported by a very large portion of the population.
McCain's already gotten the nod. Why would Huckabee keep going? I mean if God doesn't like it, he could strike the white house with a bolt of lightning killing McCain and Bush for supporting McCain.
But that hasn't happened has it.
Fuck, now it's their gods will for Huckabee to be the VP.
They just won't take no for an answer (even from their all mighty skydaddy)

Or proof of how far out of the mainstream Rapture Ready fundie nuts really are in America ...
But, Captain... Why does God need a Huckabee?
I mean, really; why would a hick from the backwoods of Arkansas be "the last for Jesus in this country" or ANY country for that matter? Can't Jesus run his own campaign?
I have no objection to Huckabee as a write-in. I had no objection to Zappa as a write-in either.
Jesus' Last Hope is an Arkansan babtist. Jesus has no hope, in other words.
Huckabee didn't have a hope anyway, fortunately.
So looks like it's McCain versus Obama for the presidency. Just like I thought.
If I could vote (I'm Canadian) I'd vote for Obama.
There I am in 2008 typing in a hopeful response that the theocracy seekers are being put to bed.
Here it is 2012 and all seven of the Republican presidential hopefuls are pushing Right-Wing Christian fundamentalism, and theocratic agendas as a positive approach.
I can only hope the vibe that pushed Huckabee aside will defeat the insanity again.
Confused?
