This is a picture of a real brain scan.

This is an Emergency Room in NC, where a man came in complaining of

Voices in His Head!

After viewing his X Ray...
The Doctor on Duty said that this was common with people who had "voices in their heads" He had seen this several times.

The Nurse on duty is a Christian and about fainted when she saw this.
It has been validated as authentic!

Is it supposed to look like something cuz i don't get it.

@KillWhitey: I think it's supposed to either be a demon or a hippie.

3/9/2008 8:45:49 PM

i think you're meant to see a head/face in the bottom middle of the scan

but so what, jesus turns up in my toast the whole time (not really)

<eight-year-old mode>I see a pretty pretty butterfly!</eight-year-old mode>

Yes, that's what tumors do. No, it's not of the debbil. That nurse was just stupid.

3/9/2008 8:58:42 PM

ROFLMAO.. are you SERIOUS? That looks like Jack Skellington. So you're telling me that Tim Burton is GOD?

3/9/2008 8:59:56 PM

For me it's a regular brain scan whose coloured zones can represent..............anything, according to our whims. Somebody is introducing the nurse to lie for Jesus, eh dear?

3/9/2008 9:00:19 PM

And seriously it took me to get to the bottom of the page before I saw the devil analogy...

I suggest a case of judicious photoshop use in any case since it seems that the individual is missing a significant proportion of brain... So does the "patient".

As for Doctor on Duty... I call shennanigans since this is not an "X-Ray". If the doctor referred to this as an X-Ray I would want another doctor who could tell his ass from his elbow and not make stupid mistakes with the names of diagnosis tools.

Heh. That website is blocked from my work computer for being "pornography".

dog with head split in half

It is, as has been said, a brain scan. It's a rather routine type of imaging of the brain. I have epilepsy, and I've had it done. Voices in the head! Are you that backward? Hearing voices that aren't there is a symptom of schizophrenia, which is caused by a chemical imbalance. In other words, the brain can get sick, just like your stomach or heart. And it's treatable with medication.

3/9/2008 9:21:15 PM

What the fuck?

Yeah, this Rorscach test definitely proves.....

Doctor, nurse, Christian....

I'm sure it's authentic, but what the fuck is it?

There's like a butterfly at the top, and a cross, and a couple of eyeballs...

The cross is the voice in his head!

Old Viking

It's an image of Kent Hovind, dummy.

Since you're for truth obviously you would have citations for this story. What you don't?

3/9/2008 9:40:00 PM

Hey, that's me.

3/9/2008 9:41:46 PM

Just cos one part of a cross section of a brain scan resembles a face - which our perceptual system is designed to pick out - does not mean you have the devil in your head. Anyway, you couldn't hear it from in there. It would be too muffled. And I don't think it's too near the auditory centre.

It does mean your nurse is somewhat over-excitable, though.

3/9/2008 9:52:21 PM

Provide link where the Doctor on call said that he has seen that several times? Or that the nurse fainted?

I have seen freakier things on Xrays. Someone shoved a lightbulb up an orifice, didn't suddenly maker him brighter.

3/9/2008 9:54:57 PM

cool cats

photoshopping lies for Jesus I see.

Septic Sceptic

So what we are to assume from this is that people with voices their heads are hearing them because of a tiny little disembodied face which has materialised inside their brain. These manifestations also apparantly smoke, as evidenced by the cigarette butt seen to the left of the face.

The problem becomes finding a resolution to the situation. Obviously you can't have it surgically removed, because that would count as an abortion. You can't leave it in either, or your head will fill up with cigarette ash.

We'll just have to pray, and hope that God provides an answer.

I was listening to CarTalk on the radio one day. A woman called in and said that in the treatment of her rear windshield, she saw Jesus every time she turned on the defrost.

I wonder if it can be attributed to the same thing? Ok, I don't wonder. The car lady was hilarious. This is just freaking insane.

3/9/2008 10:36:56 PM

um...X-rays show bones. they don't do soft tissue. if the doctor said that was his X-ray I question the doctor's credentials.

3/9/2008 10:37:33 PM

Captain Janeway

And if you let the machine cotinue its scan, which it needs to do to complete the MRI, after moving just 5 mm, the 'face' will disappear.

This 'face' has just about the same meaning as the 'face' on Mars. All it is is the brain's programmed response to find faces.

This is where the conspiracy theory meets the fundtarded world view.

3/9/2008 10:53:32 PM

Maybe she didn't think it was teh debbil? That thing is fucking scary. Stop trying to drag everyone into Fundiedom, truth4teens.

Sideshow Bob

I browsed much of that site. It's a potential goldmine.

He's one of the holy three pieces of the schizo God, with the other two being David Lynch and John Waters.
