Quote# 36355

[After being told by another user (not me in this case) that "chimps have a baculum (penis bone) and humans don't. The other 206 bones, though, are in one-to-one correspondence", Guzman's reply was this classic:]

and what about the bones and organs in bacteria?...are we truly just enlarged bacteria? If not you better come up with an explanation for the novelty.

Bones and organs are made of tissues, which are made of cells. A bacteria is just one cell. So no Supersport, more acutely we are vast colonies of trillion of different specialized and highly evolved bacteria.

.............please tell me he doesn't really think that bacteria have bones? That would be utterly retarded even by fundie standards.

Actually we have organelles called Mitochondria. They are bacterial in origin. We have evolved to use mitochondria to power our bodies. Its a fun read...

Mister Spak

Do you even know what bacteria is?

Yama the Space Fish

Probably something like this:

Back-tee-ryah? Don't exist. Sickness is God's punishment.

3/16/2008 6:15:20 PM

You know less about science than a chimpanzee's penis bone does.

Bacteria = Satanic lie!

It isn't in the Babble!! OH NOES!!!1111111!!1!

It's like talking to a fucking brick wall.

The sad thing is, the brick wall's more intelligent

3/16/2008 6:30:29 PM

Penis bone?

O, dem bones, dem bones,
Dem Bacteriologicalistical bones . . .
Now heah de word o' de Lo-o-ord

You fail at biology.

Oh, good grief.

Well, at least it seems as if Guzzie has been boning up on his bacteriology...

Blayze Kohime

How do you even respond to something like that in debate? You would have to be dealing with someone who has not even had elementary school level biology.

3/16/2008 7:10:23 PM

Bacteria are single celled organisms. They don't have bones or organs.

3/16/2008 7:14:25 PM

are we truly just enlarged bacteria?

No, but we truly are enlarged chimps.

3/16/2008 7:16:31 PM

Guzman, bacteriae ARE procariot cells. Sorry to use specific language, but It's a way to put you down your horse.

3/16/2008 7:26:16 PM

"and what about the bones and organs in bacteria?...are we truly just enlarged bacteria? If not you better come up with an explanation for the novelty."

Truly, you should win a Nobel Prize in Biology if you haven't already. Your grasp of the field is unparalleled.

3/16/2008 7:33:04 PM

Nope, we're a huge collection of different bacteria which all are controlled by DNA

I am dumbstruck by this dumb fuck.

Does he really not understand that we are eukaryotes.....oh yhea its stuporspit so he probably doesn't.

Old Viking

We haven't compared the bones and organs of bacteria with those of humans because no one had devised instruments teensy-tinsy enough to get them out.

It's spelled 'prokaryote' (or occasionally 'procaryote'). Just thought you'd like to know.

Who put all this dumb here? Now I have it all over my shoes.
