I think we need to examine the phrase "the lesser of two evils".
On one hand, we have someone who is breaking their word.
On the other, we have a father who is going to give his daughter to a man who was willing to accept her as a betting object and likely has less-than-noble intentions for her.
I'm going to have to go with option number one.
Yeah but lets not forget that the father might have won the girl in a poker game in the first place. If whoever currently owns her has already lost his watch and his car but doesn't want to call it a night:

Poker bets are not legal contracts, and you should not be forced to sell away your daughter due to them....no matter how much of an idiot you are for making the bet to begin with...

It's sadly all too common for human societies to become obsessed with "honour" and saving face, to the point that even human lives lose value in comparison. Even western society only shook itself free of the idea relatively recently. If you don't believe me, go to a museum and look for sets of duelling pistols.

So he has no morals and ethics because he didn't hand over his daughter which he bet and you assumingly do?
I think its more ethically right not to keep his word than to give his daughter away in a poker game
Basically, it is like this. My logic back then, this is just an example, this was a case where of course it was not a good idea to honor the bet, however in general it is better to honor a verbal agreement when it is made in a contractual sense.
Being an atheist now I understand the objection humans are not for trade no one owns another human being, however if it was your own property then it is a good idea to honor your agreement.
At least, be consequent.If the girl has no life of her own, don´t point out that the Koran demands death in the case of adultery. If she´s an object to be "handed over" for the wrongdoings of her dad, she´s not a responsible being, and therefore.................your very last sentence is invalid.
