ask any doctor, cancer patients who have faith that are going to live almost always live longer than those who don't
[Someone then quotes and links to an AP report entitled "Power of prayer flunks an unusual test:
Large study had Christians pray for heart-surgery patients"]

"Where is your evidence"
[cites evidence]
"That doesn't count." or "You could have just made that up."
Ahh... fundies, ignoring everything that contradicts their pre-formed ideas since since they first came about.
That sort of faith and religious faith are two seperate and discrete concepts.
Besides, I thought death had no meaning for true Christians, they would be joypus at returning home.
Great, so now prove Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Taoists, Jews, or any other religion, and even atheistsm or agnostics that have faith that they are going to live longer, don't live any longer than Chrisitians in the same boat!
Fundie: Makes blanket assertion of event(s) with no backing studies or statistics
Anti-Fundie: Provides sites, citations or recommended ready that disputes assertion.
Fundie:"I'm not looking at it, You just made that up. Stop confusing the issue with facts"
Anti-Fundie: head-desk "Owwwchh"
They want to pretend the world actually works as if there were a loving God who plays favorites.
"... you could of just typed that up right now."
It's "could HAVE," dammit. "Could HAVE ."
Sorry, but there are some common grammatical errors that just infuriate me, and that's one of them.
Others include using the word "whenever" erroneously in place of "when," "borrow" when what is actually meant is "loan," and any use of the made-up word "persons" in place of "people."
OK. I'm done ... for now. Carry on.
Ah yes, load of insane glurgical bollocks that was obviously written by a 13 yr old, but is what the fundy believes = TRUE!
Facts or evidence that undermine, contradict, nullify, rebut or destroy fundie's childish beliefs = FABRICATED SATANIC CONSPIRACY!
Too sad for words!
Demosthenes: Nothing is easier than self-deceit. For what each man wishes, that he also believes to be true.
"ask any doctor, cancer patients who have faith that are going to live ALMOST always live longer than those who don't"
...they just couldn't make it those 5 extra days, huh? PRAISE JESUS, HALLELUJAH!
"you could of just typed that up right now"
Annoyingly bad grammar aside,
he understands the concept of making shit up on the spot. Is he actually unaware of the irony?
Yes, he coulda made the website right then.
But then again, no. No he didnt.
True, he did say that it was true of people who had faith that they are going to live. If he is arguing that this means anything in regards to his mythology of choice, though, he deserves a swift kick in the ass for that sleight of hand, but otherwise he's probably right.
People who have something to live for are going to live longer than those who despair totally. Whether that is faith, or thoughts of gardening in the summer, or their husband/wife/children.
Please, it's "could have", not "could of", pleeease!
"ask any doctor, cancer patients who have faith that are going to live almost always live longer than those who don't "
Umm, i'm not gonna start that conversation with my family doc. I wanna stay out of institutions. How many doctors have you asked?
"<snip> and plus you could of just typed that up right now"
See yourself in the mirror?
And, please show me a study, where the correlation between cancer, faith and lifespan are examined. Then we'll talk.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
