[In response to how ID takes God out of the picture]
"We have to remember people are NOT wanting to believe in God, yet scientists are beginning to realize something ain't right with evolutionary theory. That's why much of the scientific community is so openly hostile to this theory. It's not that it doesn't make sense, it's just that it opens up the possibility of God, and that is simply not allowed. Satan himself is going to provide for a way out for them.
This is the setup for tribulational "Aliens seeded the earth!"

canuckmedic?? Please tell me our boys in Afghanistan aren't relying on this idiot for medical assistance.
And nobody ever said the ToE was set in stone, of course there's holes in it, that's why it's still being studied, doesn't mean you throw out everything.
And the only possible way that God fits into the whole equation is the spark that started it, and if that's all he did, why does he need to be worshiped? Or maybe aliens did start it. Or maybe a meteorite with some form of bacteria on it crashed into the earth. I don't know, nobody knows, the start of life has nothing to do with Evolution.

You might want to do a little research. If you follow the timeline you'll discover that ID belief grew out of the idea of aliens creating,or elevating, the human race.
So ID is the spin-off theory.
Haha... Yeah, scientists think that 'something ain't right' with evolution. And 'Intelligent Design' totally 'makes sense.' Right.
And I'm pretty sure that people are hostile toward ID/Creatonism being touted as equel to the theory of evolution because it's, like, not. It's not science. Get over it.
Oh, for fuck's sake. There is no grand acientific conspiracy, ID is grossly anti-scientific, and the rapture is unbiblical.
How did you managee to get through medical school?
scientists are beginning to realize something ain't right with evolutionary theory.
Really? In which alternate universe is this happening?
Please remember that plenty of scientists have no trouble combining religious faith and evolution. Scientists don't accept theories simply because they don't mention God, those theories have to stand up to scrutiny and further testing.
Honestly, I think some of these morons think scientists do nothing but sit around thinking of ways to deny their God all day. A little education on what scientists actually do might go a long way.
yet scientists are beginning to realize something ain't right with evolutionary theory
Citation, please.

No, it is that it doesn't make sense.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Stupid cunt!
I find aliens seeding the earth infinitely more possible than an infinite perfect being created a terribly imperfect world. The first one is ~possible~, since even we can make simple life at this point on our own, the second one defies even the first hint of logic and isn't even worth philosophical debate. So yeah, this person is a fundie.
That said, ID's biggest enemy is the Christians trying to help it. Though its difficult to find decent discussions of it due to this, there are actual scientists that support it, like Dean H. Kenyon, who created the theory of how life was created unintelligently by chemical attraction ( called the theory of Biochemical Predestination ), who later changed his thesis to support ID while still accepting the vast majority of evolutionary theory (some people leave that last part out). No one said he was not legit until he changed his theory, until then he was a genius, which isn't particularly fair.
I'm just stating that it does exist and is accepted by some legit and even atheist people. In a way it doesn't even apply, however, since evolution is the theory of how life changes, not how life came to be.
Oh? Is that your next I.D, platform?
Everyone knew I.D meant God, Only the lying Christians said it "Could" mean something else.
I.D. is a stupid Fundie trick
From a strategic point of view, it is a poor choice for Christians to advocate ID or creationism. Since it is such a weak theory, evolution wins almost by default. They would be better off in researching the problems in the ToE (and there are quite a few). For example, one can concede that principles like natural selection are almost certainly at work, while not accepting evolution in toto.
You fundies would all be so much happier if there was an open, active conspiracy against you and god. Then you wouldn't have to search for the needles in the haystacks and keep finding the pins instead.
Then again, what the hell would you have to complain about?
scientists are hostil to ID being taught in school for the same reason theyre hostile to it being taught that the earth is flat, 10,000 years old, and the center of the universe. namely, because its not, and the only people who think it is are stupid or decieving themselves or ignorant or some combination of the three.
Man, I feel bad for Canadian Boys who have to have this idiot patching them up!
I'd personally rather be a POW than be dealt with by this Frank Burns asshole!
(Watch M*A*S*H if you don't get that last comment, or just watch it anyway! It's a really good show!)
Excuse me. There's a flying needle attempting to spin off my "Canadian Embarrassment" meter at the moment. Then again, we are responsible for the Raelian movement, and I apologize for that; The whole 'Aliens seeded the earth' thing is more inline with that. Or Scientology. Whichever.
Just because it's not Christian doesn't mean it's not as equally moonbat as Xian beliefs. Atheism is the absence of belief, you idiot, not "aliens did it".
"That's why much of the scientific community is so openly hostile to this theory."
That must be surprising news for the scientific community. Please note that Kent Hovind, Ken Ham and Ray Comfort are not part of the scientific community. Their more like the kids from the bad side of town who sneak over, spray paint graffiti around the scientific neighborhood and then run off before anyone in the community can stop them.
Aliens seeding the Earth raises the question of how the aliens got there, but I doubt that idea is very popular, with most IDiots just taking the God of the gap evolution pushed to the side and taking the creationist crowbar shoving it open without mentioning God or the creationism.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
