Attempts to promote peace results in stormier weather?
I'd ask you how ridiculous that sounds, but you're the fucking idiot that wrote it.

I heard that people wear shorts more in summer than winter.
Ice cream sales are significantly higher in summer than winter.
Ice cream makes people wear shorts.

Play nice....the poor fundie's already admitted to being hit by something today. You can't blame him for not thinking straight.
dkwannabe, go with your first conclusion. You know, the one about being wrong. It's safer that way.

Where are these storms that you speak of? And how is helping bring about an "agreement" abandoning Israel? Even if it is ineffectual, we are still doing a damned good amount to support them, and thankfully they are probably our only real ally in the Middle East due to that. Isn't that good enough?

You are wrong. Brokering peace between Israel and Palestine is the best thing for the country. God tells us not to divide his land. Best we have everyone living together then killing each other and dividing God's land right? Ahh who am I kidding fundies are just a bunch of blood thirsty warmongers.

Oy! Evangelicals support Israel more than God does in the OT.

So if Israel were to, say, recognise same-sex marriages, if only those performed abroad, then you'd be cursed by God if you didn't agree with that, right?

It's just you.
You do realise that book you are citing to isn't about referring to the US, don't you? Native Americans didn't really weigh into the Bible when it was written by Nomadic Middle Easterners.

Um...has it occurred to you that the Israel of today is not the Israel of the bible? What if the Holocaust victims who settled there (by dispossessing the Palestinians) had named it Canaan or Nod or Xlotchitl...would you be so eager to support it?
If I name my big, beautifully landscaped garden "Eden," will you send me money to maintain and defend it? (There aren't any evil apple trees in it, just holy nectarines and blessed oranges.)
