Seems this is the attitude we all have to take to just about every thread created on this site. Honestly, I use this website as yardstick for tolerance and stupidity.
If I do something stupid, I come and look on this site, read for a bit and instantly feel better about being me and worse about the nature of the so called Christian civilization.
Being kind, compassionate, loving, truthful, loyal. Having integrity, decency and above all a desire to treat people as you would like to be treated can no longer be said to be Christian values. Certainly not if people who post such ill concieved, ill-researched, poorly-spelled and badly thought-out diatribes in public are doing so in the name of Christianity and honestly cannot see the irony of them preaching hatred and ignorance, when for centuries they have complained of just such persecution for others.
Beggers belief.
Non-believers, (can't use Atheists as the fundies have hijacked this definition and have liberally applied their own re-definition, i.e. Baby raping, aids infested, genetic mutants whom masturbate to the origin of species, use the bible for toilet paper and expound the virtues of homosexual fornication with Satan; to Christian children) should hold the torch for the values presented above, tolerance, understanding (failing that we lean back on tolerance), and a healthy respect for science and the rights of the individual.
I don't know my bible well enough to quote off-hand from it and don't have one handy but I do believe it says 'the meek shall inherit the Earth'.

Note: 'We' means every non Christian/non-fundamentally religious nutter, intent on imposing their own values and ethics on others.
