[in a thread discussing the Antarctic Ice Chunk that collapsed that sort of moved onto discussing global warming in general]
If Man would repent God would/will heal their land. Right now with the curse on the land and the sin Man dwells in Man WONT live in utopia. God is not "fixing" it because of sin. Without repentance you have no peace and you will have to dwell in a cursed land. That one statement in the Bible says it all the Land is cursed until Man acknowledges God owns that land and controls all of it!

Job didn't commit any sin(as far as I'm concerned)and suffered all kind of misadventures. Man, natural disasters are what they are, NATURAL. And concerning the chunk of ice which has melted has done so for a series of reasons that the scientists are outlining. Those chunks don't care about our morality.
Man has free will, but then everything that happens is according to god's will... That means that there is no free will and your god has already made up his mind about what he's going to do to us and the planet, and there isn't a damn thing any of us can do to stop it.
So you are saying that God is going to kill the good with the evil even if one single person still hasn't acknowledged him. There is love, mercy, and benevolence for you.
Tormenting even a single innocent because of the deeds of those around them is unacceptable to me, but I suppose that is the difference between me and most Christians.
Ummm, no, if man would stop pumping out millions of tons of pollutants, the earth would (maybe) heal itself...

Utterly stunning. This is pretty much exactly what religious morons were spouting during the Black Plague. It didn't work then either.
So basically our planet isn't eligable for healing because of our sin level? God really does love his regulations and red tape, doesn't he?
"Lord, our planet! Please do something!"
"Ooooh, nah mate. Not with that kind of sin level. More than my jobs worth, know what I mean?"
"But the pollution, and the climate! Can't you do something?"
"Look, i'd love to help, I really would, but it's regulations innit?"
"But... but..."
"Sorry mate, can't stop and argue, i've got another job down the road. That'll be sixty quid for the callout fee."
Maybe Gawd is not "fixing" because either there is no Gawd, or Gawd is a feeble old sack.
The hands of Men are the tools of Gawd as well as of teh Debbil.
I think being dead is the only form of "repentance" that these idiots accept unequivocally.
"Repent" at your leisure, tdunce.
"Right now with the curse on the land and the sin Man dwells in Man WONT live in utopia."
I had to read that sentence twice, before I realized that there should be a comma before that second "Man".
I first read it as "Man dwells in Man", and I immediately thought "Oh noes, teh gays!!!1"
Confused?
