[On a school's pro-gay curriculum that allows no exemptions]
Kaffir: Supt. Paul Ash should have his credentials revoked and then be denied the opportunity to wreck havoc in the lives of any other children. In all of the schools where I've worked it was standard proceedure to first send a parental notification form home for the parents to review and sign. Without the signed parental form, the student would then be allowed to be taken from the room, to work on homework. But, to do what was done at this school is outrageous! This smacks of Nazi/Soviet-style tactics. This is still the U.S.A., not the U.S.S.A. (the Union of Soviet Socialist Americans)!

And if you don't like it, keep your kid at home and teach them to work for the fast food industry. All the science jobs are going overseas anyway.

Ahahahahaha...now you know how parents of non-Christian children feel like when religion is put at the forefront of the classroom! Oh, but, of course, there is difference...the thing that you are objecting to is that your child is being taught how to accept and tolerate his fellow human beings!
Oh well, I am sure you and children will learn nothing from anything relating to this issue anyway, and will fester over from the seething hatred within you...
Its certainly not a healthy or positive opinion, but i think the perspective in this quote is understandable. How would we all feel if there was mandatory, no-exemption teachings in school on how homosexuals are mentally ill and molest children? We need to be honest with ourselves and take into consideration how in many ways, we really are enforcing a doctrine that seems hostile to their way of thinking and believing, as much as their beliefs seem offensive and destructive to us.

Schools also teach about heterosexuality without throwing in religious morals. Same diff. Obviously there is a real need for this subject to be addressed in schools if someone says that speaking about homosexuality calls for beatings and slaughter. Good God.

Schools have to take a non-religious approach to educating children. People like these guys can take it as a hostile attack all they want. Some people had the same outrage when segregation was ended. And that certainly wasn't okay...
Really, there's no excuse for this kind of a violent response from some of these people. Their ignorance and prejudice toward homosexuality is evidence as to why the subject shouldn't be ignored by schools.

Do you ever get the feeling that the reason these rednecks don't want their kids exposed to outside views is that the kids might realise what daddy does to them in their bedrooms at night isn't normal?

Because they're legally obligated to, and nothing more, I'd wager. Several, of course, realize they can home school their kids, but several can't, or just choose not to, and then bitch and moan about the indoctrination they suffer.

It truly saddens me, though, when two people that love each other are considered vile, and wanton, uncontrolled hated is considered correct.

Its use as a racial epithet in South Africa is a result of the Mohammedan Swahili of the Eastern coast using it to refer to the non-Mohammedan Bantus of the interior, and Europeans adopting it in ignorance of its proper meaning.
