"Civilization has been around for thousands of years before Judaism was even a thought."
Uhh, No. The Hebrews were Jewish, and they were the first people on Earth (Adam and Eve).

Wow. I was sent to a fundamentalist Christian school (www.imagoschool.org ) for elementary school and even they acknowledged earlier civilizations (Tigris/Euphrates, Indus River, etc). Of course, they also taught that the Mayans were peaceful vegetarians.
"Uhh, No. The Hebrews were Jewish, and they were the first people on Earth (Adam and Eve)."
Yeah, right. Sure they were.
Ahahaha...way to miss the point completely! The Hebrews were not the first people on Earth, because the Earth is not 6,000 years old...since the Earth is not 6,000 years old, the Hebrews could not have been the first people on it.
(Hopefully that is circular enough for you to understand...)
That comment made it? I personally liked Keanu's first post in that thread:
"Gay Marrige should be banned, and anyone attempting it should be given life in Prison.
It is against the Bible to allow it."
Judaism required circumcision. That wasn't Adam, it started with Abraham, you know, the guy that made the covenant with God?.
You don't even know your own scriptures.
According to the Bible, the Israelites (as it calls Jews in the old testament) are the descendants of Israel, the person. Therefore, there could be no Jew before this individual was born. According to the Bible, this man was born ... that's right... thousands of years after Adam and Eve.
Even from a completely literal Biblical point of view, Kenadian was correct.
Sorry No, The hebrews were not the first people.
They were originaly called the Apweru, and were a minor arab culture. A subgroup of a migration of peoples collectively known as the Hyksos or Sheperd kings
They first appeared around 2200 bce, Migrating north into messopotamia.
The jewish religion itself did not take shape untill close to 1000 bce.
Your mythical (Adam and Eve) are not even real people.
Even according to your own fucking book ADAM AND EVE WERE NOT HEBREWS
If your going to live by a book, maybe, just maybe YOU SHOULD READ IT FIRST!
Uhh, No. Adam and Eve weren't jews because none of this shit that is sacred in Judaism had happened or been written about yet.
That took me 1 second to figure out. I'll hazard a guess and say you still don't understand the idiocy inherent in your statement. But that's pretty understandable after looking at your statement.
No. Not even the Bible says that -- the first Hebrews, according to the Bible, are all either descendants (Israel, Judah, Edom) or relatives (Ammon, Moab) of Abraham. Apart from them being Canaanites with possible connections with Egypt, we really don't know that much about where they came from to begin with.
In fact, if you're a Biblical literalist, the Hebrews couldn't have existed before the Tower of Babel. But then again most people who have stepped outside religious shackles think of the Tower of Babel as a warped memory of Sumerian temples...
If they existed, I'd guess Adam and Eve were panteists, with God so close to them. On the other hand, with the Creator hanging over ones fence like Wilson from Home Improvment, it could be really hard to imagine the concept of 'supernatural'. And people from before Abraham? Zoroastism perhaps?
Alright, say Adam and Eve were Hebrews.
What I want to know is, how did two Hebrews spawn Asians, Indians, Africans, Saxons...(etc)
Unless of course, evolution accounts for the different races? >.>
Read your babble. Abraham was the first Hebrew, but was originally from "Ur of the Chaldeas," which was a city originally founded by the Sumerians.
There were no "chosen people" until the first covenant.
Fail.
What.
The.
Fuck.
Dude....
Um....
You know that Jews were like, the fourth main religion created? There were pagans and stuff beforethem, Hindus, THEN Jews, then Buddists, Zoroastrians, Christians, Mohammud, The Ba'ab and, lastly, Bah'olla.
Umm no. The Chinese people were the first inhabitants of Earth. The bible also says insects have four legs and leprosy is cured by birds blood.
science = 1
history, paleontology, archaeology = 1
christianity = 0
History, Reality, The Greeks, The Chinese, The Persians, The Egyptians, many others, and oh, um, The Holy Fu*king Bible disagree.
So, where did the sons of Adam and Eve find wives?
I remember a funny clip saying something like "Sumerians look on in bewildered aw as God creates the Earth".
Wow... even a biblical fail
Hey dumbfuck, Abraham was the first Jew, and there were plenty of civilizations before him.
Sincerely,
a Hebrew
@ Gjervan
... I'd guess Adam and Eve were panteists,
Pantyists?
Didn't they wear fig leaves? Scratchy old nasty fig leaves, ugh!
Confucius say, panties not best thing on Earth, but next to it.______________Redd Foxx
Keanu is so dumb . . . he probably thinks an Israelite is an electric lamp.
ba doomp TSSHHH!
Oh yeah? Adam and Eve were Jewish, huh? So, who was the moyel who performed Adam's briss? Who was the rabbi who officiated at Ece's Bat Mitzvah? And if Jews were the first people, then kindly explain that the Sumerians, Egyptians, Indians, and Chinese. I'm sure they'll be fascinated with how they totally weren't there first.
Adam and Eve were not Jewish. God did not bring the Jews into existence until about 2,000 years after Adam and Eve when He called Abram out of Mesopotamia.
Adam and Eve were Gentiles, like all the people in the Bible until Abraham.
Confused?
