And I know there has to be something to this. My daughter is almost five, and even at her tender age, she is already 'world-weary'. Of course, she's five, so she loves her toys and her bike. But she loves Jesus more than anything, and she asked me the same thing..."Are we going to Heaven to be with Jesus soon because this life is really hard and it's taking too long." Out of the mouths of babes...

What do these people do to their children to make them hate life before they even hit school.
Seriously, is it just listening to their parents that makes them want to get out?
@RFP15 ~ it's not a repeat, the other one was an 8 year old daughter of PeaceOfChrist. Same thread though.
"My daughter is almost five,"
And you have destroyed her childhood because she doesn't even want to reach school age.
Only fundies can be this evil.
Is this the same fundie who had this young girl who'd been brainwashed into hating her life because it was inferior to Heaven? The one who was crying for it all to end?
Utterly sick, the lot of them. If these people were in my area I'd call CPS on their asses.
Antichrist: OK, thanks.
Future apostate in the making. I know, been there, been that, done that, am apostate. =]
There's hope.
Not even five, and already hating life. You sick fuck, die in a fire, and I hope someone calls CPS on you.
"Are we going to Heaven to be with Jesus soon because this life is really hard and it's taking too long."
Apart from anything else, I don't believe a 4.something child actually said this.
I read that thread, and it seems like a lot of the RaptureReady folks have lost their children. An abnormal amount. It might be that they were normal Christians before their children died, but the grief made them wish they were dead, so that they would be with their children soon. They came to believe in the Rapture because they desperately needed the belief that they would be soon reunited with their lost ones. Also explains why they want it to happen so much.
Just a thought ...
stoat100 might be on to something.
After a re-read, this looks like either a child parroting the parent or a parent projecting onto the child.
Neither is acceptable.
This is not the first post on here in the 3-4 months I've been coming to this site about "world-weary" children wanting to go to Jesus. How fucking bad of a parent does one have to be to make their kids go from Barbie dolls and Matchbox cars to suicidal tendencies? This brainwashing is nothing short of sick, twisted, cultish, abuse.
I agree with virtually all of the previous posts.
1. RDY4HIM is proof positive that religion and religiosity in particular are pathologies.
2. Four year olds don't talk like that.
3. RDY4HIM has no idea as to a healthy parent/child relationship. If RDY4HIM were a pedophile, he'd be one of those claiming that the four year old was "coming on" to him.
4. Religion is child abuse.
No, wait, I got a better one.
I KNOW THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING TO THIS BECAUSE MY FIVE YEAR OLD BELIEVES ALL MY BULLSHIT SO THERE
Almost suicidal at 5? Wait 'till she's 15...
Seriously, the OP is either lying (no 5 year-old I know would spout such bullshit) or is screwing up his kids so damn much with his insane delusions he should be denied their custody.
You have a suicidal pre-schooler and you think this is OK? Laudable, even?
Get that child to a shrink ASAP before you join the ranks of parents who have "lost" their children, you sick sack of sh!t.
By the time I was five, I've read through the Children's Bible a million times and thought it was a great story. I was also living my life and loving every moment of it, especially when my mom got her first gray hairs. I was a very bad child. XD
Either this person's lying or I need to go psycho on somebody...
Well... Hopefully when the kid is older and gets some sense, she'll snap out of it. I remember when I was about five I really wanted to build a time machine so I could go to more interesting places and 'escape' school and humdrum life. And that was just from watching Back to the Future.
Still so sad that a parent would instill such values in a child. 'What we should want is this unobtainable other-wordly thing more than anything here on Earth. So lets eagerly await the end of this life because being here sucks!'
"Out of the mouths of babes..." because they don't know any better because you have brainwashed your own children, you sick fuck. "Words out of the mouths of depraved, death-obsessed, elitist scum that are mindlessly repeated by a child who doesn't know any better due to the fact that all freedom of thought has been removed from her..." sounds a bit more fitting.
A 5 year old that is tired of living already? I highly doubt that a 5 year old can do anything but repeat back what has been drilled into its head since it was a baby. But if such a (fully sentient and conversant) 5 year old exists, and you were actually able to convince it of its own worthlessness, you qualify for evil demonic asshole of the year, I guess.
What more proof do you need? Five years of living with you and your depressing death cult has made a child that should be full of life and promise, a morose basket case. You people are not only stupid clowns, you are guilty of murdering childhood innocence like a pedophile rapist!
More like out of the mouths of children with bad fucking parents! You disgust me. Not only did you drag her down with you, but you did not take her words as a wake up call to her adopting the mentality that you project. Which, despite what your warped mind may believe, is not a healthy attitude for anyone, much less a 5 year old.
"Now, honey, repeat after me, 'Are we going to Heaven...'"
"Are we going to be in Heaven..."
"No, dear, it's 'Are we GOING TO Heaven."
"Sorry, Mommy."
"That's okay, we'll try it again. 'Are we going to Heaven...'"
I honestly wish I could fully express my utter disgust and the contempt I hold for RDY4HIM. Regardless of the reason, be it the kid parroting, the parent projecting, or the kid actually thinking this way. This person is an utter horror of a human being.
RDY4HIM, you have successfully fucked up your kid before that kid is even fully potty trained. I'm not going to say you fail or even die in a fire because those expressions fall far short of what I really want to say. You have taken a precious life and are now in the process of destroying it and it's full potential because you're so caught up in your obsolete superstitions that your warped way of thinking now has a small child wishing for death.
For people like you there is a special place in hell.
Children that age should be outside pretending to save the stage coach from an Indian war-party, or hunting for buried treasure, or playing House, not wishing for death. And parents should not be fanning that desire or projecting it where it doesn't exist. You are an unfit parent and both I and Jesus weep for what you are raising that poor kid to become.
Fuck you.
I wouldn't put it passed a 5 year old to say something like this. All sorts of weird sh** came out of my mouth as soon as I could talk.
Just because the kid says it, doesn't mean she understands it. Just like she won't understand that she's doing anything wrong by attempting suicide before the age of 7.
If anyone knows what to do - I mean, I know talking on internet forums about things like this isn't a crime, but there's got to be something. Off to google I go.
I want to undo everything you are for making a -five year old- world-weary to the point of wanting to die.
How is that :) at all?
Keep in mind there is another kid saying this, at not much older.
congrats you've fucked up your kid for life. She's probably going to end up abusing drugs and committing suicide before she's 15. I hope you're happy.
Hopefully she will realize that religion is BS before it drives her to abuse drugs and commit suicide.
Maybe it's my dirty heathen upbringing, but I just can't get my head around this whole 'Loves Jesus More than Anything' bit. Especially with a five year old.
And that's before the 'YAY APOKOLIPZLOL!!!" part.
"this life is really hard and it's taking too long."
Scary, but at the same time, this pretty well sums up the RR folks as a whole, just without their "Praise Jay-sus-AH!" bullshit.
Confused?
