Wow, so being disabled is a result of sin, then?
This seems a bit contrary to the words of Jesus.

\"Do you feel he has done nothing wrong and that he is in no way to blame for the condition that he finds himself in?\"
Yes. Yes, that is exactly what I feel.
Asshole.

Hawking could have done truly evil things like rape altar boys or invade oil-rich Third World countries and not deserve the kind of horrible disease he has.

Everybody does things wrong, but it has nothing to do with his condition.
Also, you are a fucking asshole.

What has Hawking done that is worse than thousands of healthy scientists working well into their old age? He's hardly the only God-denier in the system.
What about all the sick puppies who keep getting caught with someone in their mouth from your Christian-Right world? Haggards still a rich little bitch for just one example.

Also, is that the attitude you take to church? It must be awful in Fundieland for those with conditions, failing bodies, parents of the Retarded, Autistic or deformed to realize their brethern look down on them for the obviously unredeemable garbage they are.

Fundies seem to have an irresistible urge to find a "will" behind everything.
As most things simply don't have a "will", this shows very clearly that fundies are still imprisoned in primitive, outdated "magical thinking". They are mentally living in the stone-age.

If being disabled is the result of sin, then fundies certainly aren't going to Heaven as they're all fucking retards.
What's the matter? Don't you like it that a godless heathen atheist (which is the term you use to refer to anyone who is even slightly less religious than you) has accomplished more than you ever will, especially with a body that barely functions when compared to yours?
At least his mental faculties are all okay, unlike yours.
Cunt.

"Well either he [Hawking] is the innocent victom of a ravaging disease, or..."
fixed
...what? Proof that shit happens, and that your so-called 'God'
doesn't exist.
'Sin' is a purely man-made concept. And as we Atheists (including Prof. Hawking) don't acknowledge the existence og a 'God', therefore we can't possibly break any of his 'laws'. Because like him,
they don't exist, neither. Ergo, we Atheists are purer than Jesus, and are infinitely superior to your so-called 'God'. Mainly due to the fact that we exist. And 'God'
doesn't. So there's one simple way to prove our more than infinite superiority to him - just by existing.
"Are you here to defend his innocence and purity? Do you feel he has done nothing wrong and that he is in no way to blame for the condition that he finds himself in?"
As explained above, yes. Next question, JohnArse7 (with an IQ of -7). One more thing:

Fidel Castro must be a saint then, as he has been healthy enough to rule his country for 50 years, until he resigned due to old age three years ago (he's now 84).

Then I challenge you; what horrific sin did he commit to deserve to be bound to a wheelchair, withering away due to a crippling GENETIC illness? Go ahead. Say disbelief. Make your God look even more petty and sadistic.

So Stephen Hawking did something in his childhood or early adulthood which made God inflict ALS upon him, yet God still let him live more than 40 years (and counting) beyond the expectation the doctors first gave him? And on top of that, God also gave him an able brain whose ideas will ensure Hawking's place in history? That's a weird sort of punishment.
A few years ago I heard Professor Hawking speak to a hall packed to its capacity of 2500, people of all ages and backgrounds who most certainly weren't at church that early on a Sunday morning. His talk was inspiring, moving and entertaining -- at its conclusion we gave him a standing ovation. He only spoke for 20 minutes and was only able, necessarily, to answer three pre-submitted questions from the audience, but I'll never forget the final words of his third answer: "...and that is why I do not believe in God."

Yes. Because ALS is genetic. And you are a self-righteous fool.
