Face it, you lot just pop a massive boner whenever you condemn someone, even literally just for existing.

This is why I gave up on your death cult of a religion.
Everyone, no matter how blameless, is a worthless piece of shit in your god's eyes.
Yet you insist that your god is love.
Funny definition of love you've got.

But remember folks, it's the atheist who is cruel. Telling our children that we are great apes that made a huge evolutionary leap and ended up with brains that put us where we are today.
His Bride's answer is much better

Strange. I thought that the whole reason for Jesus dying on the cross was to absolve mankind of the initial sin? If that's the case, then infants can't be born with sin, because they're cleansed by your own savior's blood.
Then again, fundies don't even understand what their religion means, so they only think about 5% and work against the other 95%.

"A newborn baby is still a sinner because she or he was born with sin inherited through Adam."
So what the fuck was the point of Jesus' death?

The other day a fundy said a baby's innocence is proof of God's existence. Any chance you people will ever get your act together?

So let me get this straight, you find newborns to be sinners, but fetuses to be innocent?

So is there even a point to this whole 'sin' concept, since it has no effect on our lives, does not leave any trace of even existing, and is of no philosophical value as even theorising its inexistance is impossible?

Up until I was 8 years old, I had to attend a Catholic school. Of course, we'd have religion classes on a regular basis. I remember one class where we discussed what could be done if one was with an unbaptized baby that was dying. Could it be baptized by someone who wasn't a priest, given that this was an emergency? Could it be baptized with pop rather than holy water?
I think about that now and shake my head. Who thought it would be a good idea to talk to seven or eight year olds about fucked up shit like that? Fucking Catholic assholes.

Hey, that means you agree there is no 'innocent life', so abortion isn't a problem. Finally, you have seen the light!

This is such a weird way of interpreting the sin idea; to think of it a some kind of pseudo-physical force that can latch onto you if you meet a certain criteria. Why would humankind create this kind of mythology, and then revel in it? We seem to have some seriously masochistic subconcious drives if this is what we want to think of ourselves as.

His Bride would like to say that babies are born already tainted with sin, having done nothing.
But I'm sure His Bride would also condemn abortion for killing innocents.

Prove that Adam existed and was half of the breeding pair that started the human race first. Then, we'll discuss inherited "sins."

I don't see how this is in the least bit fundie.
As far as I know 'Original Sin' is a standard belief in all forms of Christianity. Belief in original sin is completely irrational of course, but if you call this fundie then all Xians are fundies.

I was under the impression Jesus died to get rid of that sin, and everyone's judged on their beliefs or actions (depending on sect). But I'm no Christian.

You don't inherit sin.
Sin is an action, a thought, a deed. It must be consciously undertaken with the knowledge that it is wrong. Sin is doing, thinking, speaking wrong with full knowledge that it is wrong.
If you lack knowledge of an action's wrongfulness it cannot be a sin; it can be no more than a mistake, an accident, an error...even if it is an intentional act. It is the KNOWLEDGE that makes it a sin. Did you actually read Genesis? What was the tree that Adam and Eve ate the fruit from? The tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil...duh! Once you KNOW the difference between good and bad and you choose to commit bad, THEN you sin.
But not before.

This is so fucked up. If god made us in his image, how the hell can a newborn infant be a sinner? If he created us all, then I guess he is the one who needs to pay the price for our sins, since he created those sins and instilled them in us before we were born.
