Life on other planets:- abiogenesis & evolution

A question for the evolutionists- are there life on other planets?

If you answer "yes" then surely there are only two possible ways this could happen

1. God made it
2. Abiogenesis

So for those folks who say "yes" and believe in abogenesis, I'm afraid there's no evidence at all of such a process and the probabilites of such a thing happening has been shown to be so patently absurd that atheists are now thinking life came to earth in a comet or by aliens.

That is believing something without evidence at all. No observations, no known process... it's a fantasy, but atheist evolutionists sure do belive in aliens. Yet they have the audacity to say God doesn't exist and lie that there's "no evidence".

Don't be fooled- the atheist denial of God is nothing to do with the evidence. The atheist evolutionist is quite willing to believe in things with no evidence at all- such as aliens. Anything, as long as it's not God can be taken on faith by the atheist. No hard data or observations required. Plenty of blind faith.

Next time you hear a scientist positively speculate there's life out there, in effect that scientist believies in abiogenesis, going contrary to all the research and data on this topic. Believing in things without evidence. And they're suppose to be scientists?

Probably. I'd say it's almost certain. The real question is would we recognize it. It's entirely possible that it would truly be so alien to what we understand that we'd overlook it completely.

I don't "believe" in abiogenesis but it appears, at the moment, to be the mechanism from which life arose. There's actually quite a bit of evidence in favor of it (hence the ongoing research) and as for the probabilities, well, you shouldn't dabble in that unless you actually know what you're doing as it's quite easy to make nearly anything seem entirely improbable no matter the actual odds.

Your god has no evidence at all. None. Zero. Nil. Aliens, while unlikely to be the origin of our form of life, are at least plausible. We know for a fact that the universe can sustain life on at least one planet. There are billions upon billions of stars and planets within the visible universe alone that could potentially harbor life like us but there is no evidence at all of any gods anywhere.

Tell me, who would be more informed on the topic: you or the scientist?

Up until a relatively short time ago, there was absolutely no evidence that extra-solar planets existed. However, astronomers speculated that they existed, and, within the past 10 years, they have been proven right.

Now, some 300 extra-solar planets have been detected, and that number is growing almost weekly. The majority of these planets are of a mass greater than Jupiter, orbiting very close to their parent star. Astronomers theorized that it would be just a matter of time before smaller, rocky planets would be found. Sure enough, they were proved right again. Recently, astronomers discovered a planet of roughly the same mass as earth. As technology improves and search techniques are refined, that number will undoubtedly increase.

Which brings us to the question of extra terrestrial life. No, we have not found evidence of ET life - yet. We can make an assumption based on sheer numbers. Due to the number of stars within a galaxy, and the number of galaxies within the universe, the odds are that life has arisen on other planets. The question is, "Is that life intelligent?" In order for us to know that, they would have to have developed the ability to communicate over the vast reaches of space. Therein lies the problem. We have, as of yet, not received any such signal from the stars.

I believe in the possibility of alien life, as this is an awfully huge universe and the possibility of there being more than one life sustaining planet seems pretty good to me. If there were dozens of planets with life as sophisticated as Earth as close as 10 light years away (which is rather close as far as the universe is concerned) we wouldn't have the slightest idea because none of the civilizations would have the means of travelling to any other.

We've basically ruled out life existing on any of the other 8 (or 7 I suppose) planets in this solar system, so essentially we've ruled out 0.000000000000000000001% of teh possible places in the universe where life might exist.

I answer "perhaps". There are not just two possible ways, stupid, there are a thousand possible ways.
1. Vishnu made it
2. Shiva made it.
3. Odin made it.
4. Zeus made it.
5. Quetzalcoatl made it.
6. Ra made it.
7. Cthulhu made it.
8. Abiogenesis.
9. Gaia made it.
etc, etc, etc...

Dearie, we don't even have evidence that there IS life on other planets yet. How then could we have evidence of the abiogenesis there?
Most atheists say that they see no evidence for the existence of any gods. I'd say that most atheists are pretty skeptical to the existence of aliens as well.
Do you even know what "abiogenesis" means? It means life origin from non-life. Which is what God supposedly did with Adam; creating him out of dust.
Scientists follow the evidence, they do NOT believe contrary to evidence. You ought to google "Scientific Method".
