What the fuck? THE MASONS ARE A CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION! They read the Bible just like you do. How do I know this? We have multiple personal Bibles from deceased family members who were Masons. All of them were Christian, none of them were as insane as you are. So fuck off, my grandfather certainly did not worship Satan.

Wait, if Neo is the anti-Christ...then xxxxxxxx Agent Smith (edit) is God/Christ, whom Neo tries to destroy?
If so, what you're saying is that Neo, the anti-Christ, tried to stop Agent God/Christ from consuming and destroying the world that Agent God/Christ had helped fabricate...
And you also then agree that Agent God/Christ consumes and ultimately kills his own people with no remorse so long as his desires are met...
Yep, I'd say that's a pretty spot on assessment of the world...oh wait, wasn't there a movie in here somewhere?
-Ya got me Durane...stupid Y2K era movies...

1) It's only a movie.
2) Watch the whole trilogy (painful as it is to do so) before you offer any commentary about it.

First up. Neo opposes the both the Architect and his plans. Secondly the Architect only designed the Matrix, the false digital prison world that most of the story takes place in. Finally Neo is obviously a Christ figure. He is prophesied, he gives up his life to save humanity, and finally he even dies in a crucifix form. If you can't see the Christian symbolism in the Matrix then you are just fucking stupid.

Just lighten up and get a life. It's fiction. You don't have to believe it. It's not meant as a moral guide or pattern for your life. It's just a movie. Take that stick out of your butt, relax and go see if there's a movie you like better.

I'm gonna have to agree with Osiris on this...there is a lot of Xian symbolism in "The Matrix" films. The fact that you are too uptight to just watch and enjoy the movies makes me feel sorry for you.

You're right, the Bible and the Matrix DO have something in common: They're both works of fiction.

Since Neo died and came back uber-powerful in the first film, isn't he meant to represent Christ?

Ahem.. Neo the "Freer of Man", he died and came back, and then died again for all of humanity. And the Oracle was the Prophet.
Now calling "The Architect" a Mason is a helluva stretch, as an architect is the designer of the Matrix.
Stop trying to bible-ise everything, fergossakes!

Yeah well if the Bible had included just one freeway chase scene we wouldn't have to keep rehashing it in movie form.

What?
Look a good critique of the Matrix trilogy is this... First movie, good and interesting, second movie - dumbed down. Third movie - Oh God oh Why?
That and using humans as fuel instead of the sun breaks laws... Like serious physics laws.
