The Roman Catholics had their turn in the middle ages. Does anyone want to go back to them? Read about the Albigensian Crusades, then come back.

Ah, fearing the end...
4/28/2008 10:18:10 PM
4/28/2008 10:22:50 PM
Well thank you very, very much.
4/28/2008 10:33:10 PM
Calm down, now, calm down. Everything is going to be fine. Now what is it you're trying to rell us?
4/28/2008 10:40:15 PM
ah, delusions of grandeur.
4/28/2008 10:41:53 PM
Umm .... hate to tell you this GBM but we're a pretty secular bunch over here in Europe these days.
4/28/2008 11:09:00 PM
Just because the Pope lives in Europe, doesn't mean anyone there actually gives a shit.
4/28/2008 11:20:32 PM
We keep the pope in a giant museum. We wheel him out every so often. But he is really a relic of the past.
4/28/2008 11:22:16 PM
So will we get Texas, Canada or Texas, Mexico?
C'mon, you got all the answers.
By the way, they take America...The Jews are easy, unless they allie up with China.
Your Rapturites think about shitstorms too much. If the end's coming, then shaddup.
4/28/2008 11:46:55 PM
Sounds exciting. I hope I can be around when that happens so I can take bets.
4/29/2008 12:32:56 AM
Just where exactly is the US going? Although a lot of Europeans claim catholicism as their religion, they're not fundamental about following it.
4/29/2008 12:58:45 AM
The Catholics already have most of the world.
4/29/2008 1:15:15 AM
"Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne!" award, if I do say so myself.
4/29/2008 1:34:25 AM
You'd have a point were it not for the fact that every major player in Europe is secular. Even the predominantly Islamic Turkey.
4/29/2008 1:39:53 AM
Removed to where?
You haven't been to Europe in this century, have you?
4/29/2008 1:48:02 AM
Sounds like the plot of a Jack Chick comic
4/29/2008 2:00:29 AM
The United States is not a member of the EU.
And considering the state of the dollar versus the euro, the EU won't have too much of a problem dealing with countries with a predominantly Muslim population, Israel, or China. Russia may join the EU in the future.
The RCC is not a European country and, therefore, is not eligible for EU membership. The Vatican in Rome is a quasi-autonomous city-state because the Pope and his staff live and work there. The Pope's only "temporal" force are the Swiss Guards and, by their name, belong to a fiercely nuetral Switzerland and its military. The Guards, by tradition, protect the Pope and the Vatican in a somewhat similar way that the U.S. Secret Service protects the President and the White House.
Feel better, GBM?
4/29/2008 2:19:26 AM
I assume the US is being removed by the rapture? What about the 90% of Americans that don't believe rapture ready death cult crap? I assume with the biggest hillbilly drain on resources gone the US would only become more powerful...
4/29/2008 2:22:51 AM
Yeah, Europe's lived under the authority of the Church long enough, and now they decided they didn't like it.
4/29/2008 4:41:09 AM
The US is going to be removed? Bring in on! We'll have some really sweet beaches in the southern parts of Canada.
4/29/2008 4:53:01 AM
Read the entire thread...it's a great example of Epic Fail.
The linked article in the OP is about protected designation of origin
, which is a branch of trademark law. It has nothing to do with any sort of "global conspiracy to control the food industry".
4/29/2008 6:20:15 AM
I'm especially afraid of the Jewish Muslim apostate Bolshevik Chinamen living in Europe, myself...
4/29/2008 7:43:36 AM
And the rest of the inhabitants of US, ethnocentric idiot. Rapture believers only represent 1% or less of the American population.
4/29/2008 8:42:36 AM
"Only problem is, is that they will then have to deal with Islam, then the Jews, then Russia and China!"
And once they've knackered themselves battling all those, the atheist marines will rush in to destroy them! The gays have the navy, and we've got some wiccan paratrooper reserves, so it should be an easy victory.
