Uh say what? Also, isn't this more CTSTDT?

I CAN HAZ D MINUS ON SCIENCE TEST?
4/29/2008 7:22:42 PM
I won't even bother to ask for a citation on this one. It's utter garbage.
4/29/2008 7:23:24 PM
Silly hippy-wiccan-whatever-the-fuck-you-are fundy.
4/29/2008 7:24:48 PM
The brain "vibrates"?
4/29/2008 7:24:55 PM
Whoa, that's some foul-smelling bullshit ya got there, bud.
4/29/2008 7:26:01 PM
Surely this would cause some serious skull damage.
4/29/2008 7:30:21 PM
*walks away slowly*
4/29/2008 7:31:06 PM
Whats worse? When fundies deny science or when fundies try to fuse science with their spirit babble?
4/29/2008 7:32:55 PM
Personally, I vibrate at 120hz.
The ladies love me.
4/29/2008 7:34:16 PM
Far out, Man.
4/29/2008 7:34:46 PM
Ah, New Age fundyism. We don't see nearly as much of that here, but this is a classic example.
4/29/2008 7:36:11 PM
This is dishonouring my common sense...
4/29/2008 7:45:31 PM
captain big baby jesus
i'll show you hertz *shakes fist*
4/29/2008 7:53:10 PM
My brain is vibrating now. Are you getting my message?
4/29/2008 7:54:30 PM
Jezebel's Evil Sister
Damn! I don't think my brain vibrates at all. I'll either have to change the batteries or visit a neurologist.
4/29/2008 8:01:27 PM
Thank God we live in these modern times when, thanks to batteries, each of us can have his/her own personal brain vibrator.
4/29/2008 8:04:03 PM
1. No... Harmonic frequencies DO NOT WORK LIKE THAT AT ALL.
2. Aborigines, Shamanic, African, Tribals all have large links to music in their culture so play it. My granny being tribal approves of me playing the violin despite not understanding it. Its a vital way of keeping the tribe together.
3. Most south americans listen to "latin" style music which is heavily spanish influenced. I do think they should invent a Dance called the penetrada though... It would make sex look like church!
4. The last bit makes no sense. YOUR BRAIN DOES NOT VIBRATE.
I wonder what the resonance frequency of the human brain is... It would make my sonic cannon slightly more awesome if I could liquefy my opponent's brains.
4/29/2008 8:07:17 PM
Somewhere out there, N.Tesla is gyrating in his grave.
4/29/2008 8:10:18 PM
Brains do not vibrate.
If your brain is resonating at 40Hz, you probably get medical treatmen fast.
Somehow I think the earth's natural resonance is way lower than 7.83 Hz. Not to mention it's so big you would need insane amounts of energy to even get a wave all the way around it.
[What am I thinking, I'm totally forgetting earthquakes!]
Still, it's way lower than 7.83 Hz.
Also, although material affects speed of sound, and thus, resonant frequency, the frequency also depends on its length, so only some quartz crystals would resonate at that frequency.
4/29/2008 8:11:07 PM
But at how many revolution per second / Hertz?
4/29/2008 8:12:52 PM
Fuck the what?
4/29/2008 8:15:31 PM
Allegory for Jesus
Pseudoscience for Jesus!
4/29/2008 8:43:13 PM
The Brain usually works around the 40hz state. A lot of studies have been done on it. These are the gamma waves.
40-Hz coherent magnetic activity in the awake and in rapid-eye-movement (REM) sleep
Synchronous activity at about 40Hz appears to be involved in binding sensory inputs into the single, unitary object we perceive.
I can't find anything on the 7.83 hz range that isn't some sort of new age website. It would also be nice if you people could at least decide on what range this actually is.
Okay found a reasonable page on Brain Waves.
Theta waves (4-8 hz) are predominant during the transition stage between waking and sleeping.

Music and dance - instead of drugs - to get you stoned.
That's what differs True Shamans(TM) from fALSE sHAMANS.
