Quote# 38484
Can you imagine officials at a middle school, junior high or high school setting aside a day to promote "tolerance" for heavy smoking and drinking among children? How about a day where teachers encourage kids to "embrace who they are," pick up that crack pipe and give it a stiff toke?
Neither can I. The public would go ballistic, and for good reason.
But that hasn't stopped officials in thousands of schools across the country from promoting other politically correct and socially "in-vogue" behaviors that - both statistically and manifestly - are every bit as dangerous as the aforementioned "frowned-upon" behaviors.
That's exactly what the homosexual activist "Day of Silence" is all about - advancing, through clever, feel-good propaganda, full acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle among children.

No, because drinking and smoking actually HURT people. They pose actual health risks. There is nothing harmful about being a homosexual any more than there is about being heterosexual. The only harm comes from bigoted idiots like you who like to bully and torment them.

No, because these actually hurt people. Esp children. Being gay does not hurt you anymore than being straight does.
Also, you are on a website titled women for america.
Either come out of the closet, or GTFO.

This could be the next line of attack the fundies and homophobes use: synthetic sympathy and "science-based" obstruction.
His goal is clear in his final sections: a return to bible-based morality etc being taught in public schools.
We know there are problems about HIV and AIDS; if proper funding had been applied, and proper education given (about safe sex, safe gay sex) then young gays may not be so at risk.
PS he does of course ignore the lesbians - the safest of all sex partnering
