Quote# 388

[On killing people who worship idols]

Please rule it out with scripture. The NT instructs us not to murder. Murder is unlawful killing. But if we were to kill idolaters wouldn't that be justified in Gods eyes?

Napoleon the Clown

Unlawful killing. In the eyes of the law of our land, killing an idol worshipper is still murder, so no, it isn't justified in God's eyes.

It may be justified in god's and your eyes, but it still makes you a psycho-killer scumbag. your god (and his people) see a lot of fucked up shit as justified, still doesn't make it moral or just.

The Jamo

Yeah, maybe in your god's eyes. But you'd still spend the rest of your life in prison being someones bitch. Maybe you're into that sort of thing... who knows.

This is because your holy book is self contradictory to the point of being impossible to follow and hence worthless.

I would dearly love for someone, some day, to apply logical analysis to all the statements in the bible and remove all the ones that contradict or make no sense - I expect the volume you ended up with would be rather thin, but at least logically sound.

I have fond memories of an episode in the TV show \"firefly\" in which a young genius tried to \"fix\" the bible.

yeah, that sick fucker would have a raging hard-on, just like he does today with the African nations like Darfur, then Iraq, The people's republic of north Korea, and all over the fucking place. Our blood is the oil that god jacks off with! Isn't he fun?

All of your pathetic fairy tales are just a way for you to justify the psychotic tendencies that you have towards all who are unlike you. Do the world a favour and jump in front of a train and remove your twisted lack of logic from the face of my planet.

The Duelist

And if we were to kill YOU, wouldn't that be justified in Logic's eyes?

The Koran has a very poignant thing to say about that line of thinking.

"You say to the evildoers, 'do not sin' and they reply 'but we are righteous' They are in fact sinners but have been made blind. God has stricken them with madness."

(Quoting a rough translation from memory, may be horribly inaccurate.)

In much less elequent, but more to the point terms... You crazy. Put down the knife.

No. It would not.

You can explain that to Bubba in the showers.

i'm not an athiest nor an avid christian. i think god dosn't give a shit about religion and he probaly fucked off someplace else like jupiter or vegas

Like George Carlin once said, "the more devout they are, the more they see [murder] as NEGOTIABLE. It depends. It depends on who's doing the killing and who's being killed." (or something along those lines)

You're truly fucked up of you think killing is okay if "God says it is!"

You know, there was a woman who thought like you...

Andrea Yates...

"The NT instructs us not to murder"

Figure it out, asshat. If the Bible's supposedly the holy word of god, you'd think, just maybe, GOD IS TELLING YOU NOT TO KILL.

3/14/2011 9:43:44 PM

kill the idolaters

3/24/2011 9:00:17 AM

WTF is wrong with these people. Seriously. religion can be used to justify murder. Sweet.

3/24/2011 11:00:45 AM

Thou shalt not kill...unless you can find a half decent reason to justify it.

3/24/2011 1:09:35 PM

If you're following the Bible; it CLEARLY says "Thou shalt not kill"...end of freakin' story!

4/22/2012 12:43:46 PM

Fortunately, we have the very secular 1st amendment. As long as that is in force, it will never be legal to kill other solely for worshiping idols.

Thank you secularism for, once again, protecting us from bible-inspired barbarism.
