[RE: the marine in trouble for handing out Christian propaganda to Muslim Iraqi citizens]
This is awful...it's not too long before we won't even be aloud to go to church..

Yeah. Then we are all going to go into your homes and make you burn your bibles, then hang you by your toenails and force you to renounce Jesus via hypnosis.
Seriously, how stupid. You know this person would have no objections to a muslims getting in trouble for relentlessly pestering others about their beliefs or an atheist shoving evolution in his/her face.
Help, help, I'm being oppressed! Right there, didn't you see him oppressing me?
Seriously, your utterly lack of perspective mocks the plight of the Muslims who have serious reason to believe their right to go to church is in danger.

YEAH!! How dare they punish a government employee for proselytyzing a group of people on the very subject they're well-known for being easily offended about?
You want to go to church in Iraq? Go right ahead; I'd love to see you attempt that.
Meanwhile, churches in the US are growing at astounding rates. I don't see your persecution occurring any time in the near future.
Too bad for you; you don't get to be especially blessed.
First of all, it's "allowed."
Second, handing them out in America is one thing. But in Iraq, with a population already enduring a religious civil war ? Not really a good idea.
(But Breeblebox is awesomer for getting there first. And everyone else here, of course!)
OH NO! A marine isn't allowed to try to convert people in the volatile Middle Eastern country they are supposed to occupy and represent our country in! Obviously, Christians are being persecuted! Let us run to church now, because it will probably be torn down by Thursday!
"we won't even be aloud to go to church.."
I don't know about this guy, but when I was a Christian, I didn't have to be aloud to go to church. In fact, I was usually very quiet or silent.

1) You people are already quite loud . No worries there.
2) I don't care if you go to church, so long as you develop the courtesy to not try dragging me along with you. Tapdance in the aisles wearing a 'WWJD' tee shirt and a tutu with little plastic crosses glued all over it if it gives you the big happy, but don't expect me to share in your delusion.
Ahh yes. We invade a sovereign nation, bomb the fuck out of them, occupy the country, and then try to convert them.
YES, exactly. You got it. You figured out that this leads to Americans not being able to attend church.
Well done, genius.
I thought that converting the heathens had gone out of fashion. Also, I'd like to see your reaction if a Muslim tried to hand out Islamic literature in your local shopping mall. You'd flip your lid like Krakatoa on a bad day, am I right?
A word of advice, dearie: before you get all worked up, stop and think "How would I react if it was the other way around? Why would I react like that?"
But, as Dr House said in Season 4 episode 2: "Rational arguments don’t usually work on religious people. Otherwise there would be no religious people."
Don't worry cbressler1976, your rights to peacefully assemble and worship god in your own way in this country are protected by the 1st amendment. You remember the 1st amendment, right? That's the one your lot has been trying to repeal or circumvent for decades.
Confused?
