I think that's very possible. I also think that it is very possible that the church will be in heaven as the 70th week will be under way.
Yes, yes, 70th biblical week and then the rapture; so get raptured already!
If we are still here in 10 years because the rapture has not occurred yet, I think life will be very different for us than it is now. I think home schooling will be illegal in all 50 states
Considering how the fundie's homeschooling obsession is dumbing down the U.S., I wouldn't blame anyone for making such a law, but don't worry my atheistic fantasies are unlikely to come to pass. I'd at least require homeschoolers to meet current educational standards, and if they don't they'd have to send their kids to the public schools. There also would be regular testing of homeschooled children, especially in the sciences.
and homsexual marriages will be the law of the land.
OH THE HORROR!!!!!!
Yet, I have a feeling that heterosexual marriages will also still be legal.
I believe that the only churches operating "above ground" will be those that have been licensed by the state and will not be allowed to criticize other religious groups,
alternative lifestyles or preach Jesus as the only Way.
You say this as if it were a bad thing; We might actually catch up with the secular Scandinavian countries. The fact that my ancestors came from there, along with the thought of the U.S. becoming as secular as them just might thrill me straight down to my toenails. Besides a church is a money making business and should probably be licensed to make it harder for hucksters to set up shop, as it were. Tax them too, especially those absurd megachurches.
I believe sharing Christ will result in losing our children, confiscation of property and prison terms for the undeterred.
No that's just the paranoia talking, time to put on your tinfoil hat, take your meds, or whatever...
I think it's also likely that Christians will have to wear or carry an identifier, so people will know to avoid us and employers will not hire us.
See response above.
I believe forced euthanasia will be the law of the land for the elderly, the mentally ill, the physically handicapped and anyone the state considers to be a "useless eater".
This seems dangerously close to a Godwin, but I didn't actually see the words "nazi" or "Hitler" so I can't be sure.
Wild weather will become the norm and a day without a huge disaster will be a rarity.
Just what planet are you living on? Here on Earth wild weather and disasters are fairly common.
