Quote# 40262

You really think the same God who called homosexuality an abomination is going to recognize a gay couple as being married? He made marriage to be a good thing.

I said it once and I'll say it again: Gay people have the same right I do to marry someone of the opposite gender. They just choose not to. I happen to know a man and woman who were actively gay for 14+ years. Now they're happily married to each other and leading a ministry that helps others leave the homosexual lifestyle. They will tell you, as will any other ex-gay person, that there is no love in homosexuality--only lust.

1) We don't care if God recognizes it as long as the local government does.
2) Can you say "in denial"? I knew you could.

That's great for your friends, but unfortunately, you do not rule the world, nor do you have the right to make the rules for people you claim your "God" made to have free will.

I can tell you, as well as any other person with a functioning brain, your friends are full of shit.

"Gay people have the same right I do to marry someone of the opposite gender. They just choose not to."

Gay people are attracted to the opposite sex as much as you are attracted to the same sex.

There's no "choice" about it.

--------------------

In contrast to heterosexuals they don´t have the right to marry the person they love, however

I can remember when that was called a "Julliard marriage." It was for the sole purpose of letting a gay man and a lesbian look respectable and sidestep questions about their "immorality."

...Or maybe those two are bisexual, but don't even know that such a state exists?

No good huh? No love either? Funny, Dave and John and their three boys down the street seem happy to me. And their boys are probably more happy than they would be in a guatemalan orphanage, seeing as they go to a great private school and have everything they could ever want.

Plenty of gay people, if sufficiently pressured, have gotten married to people of the opposite sex and have even had children by the marriage. Just as plenty of heterosexuals in prison have engaged in homosexuality for lack of any other opportunity. It doesn't mean the gay people have turned straight or the guys in prison have turned gay.

It is unimportant how you think your fictional God feels about gay marriage.

Marriage between two people in love IS a good thing.

Two persons of the same sex, in love, but not having the right to marry eachother is not equal to your's and your opposite-sex sweetheart's right to marry eachother.

Just because you have never experienced romantic love for a person of your gender, does not mean that you can judge all such profess love as just being lust. How could you possibly know?

Great 'Christian' cover. I've heard of these arranged marriages before. No sex ever happens at home, but they do have an open marriage. In fact, why don't we have two gay guys marry two lesbians, and then they can share a house together, or buy a duplex. This would let the Christians live in their little fantasy world.

As far as an abomination. God also calls eating shellfish and pork an abomination.

"They will tell you, as will any other ex-gay person, that there is no love in homosexuality--only lust."

Or maybe they will tell you that they are bisexual? Or maybe they will tell you they forced themselves into being something they are not because they are pathetic and afraid of roasting in hell? Yeah, that's love!

And yet, still, the fact remains - you're a fucking cunt rag.

You great nit. Why would/should a gay person marry someone of the opposite gender? They are not sexually attracted to the opposite gender. If they were, they wouldn't be gay!

Moreover, gay people don't ask (or initially don want) to be gay. They have no say in the matter. It seems to be a choice made by your Gawd. If so, it's pretty well in line with his arbitrary salvation of the 144,000 Elect - of which I doubt you are one.

Homosexual Exodus type organisations are frauds. This has been shown time and time again. But ostriches like you don't see this because you don't want to. It's a fraud because hassled and harrassed gays are driven to seek some kind of acceptance at any price. However, I foretell disaster down the road for this type of false realting of gays to heterosexuals in legal and moral bonds. It is dishonest on the part of the gays and of those who encourage/drive them down that path.

As to no love in homosexuality, how come I am with my partner for 35 years? How many heterosexual marriages last that long. Write me if you want to come and visit us and see if I am for real in what I have said.

IF not, STFU!

Right, so in a few years when those two are out shagging other men/women every night will you still say they are "ex-gay" *sigh*

I said it once and I'll say it again: Gay people have the same right as I do to marry someone of the same gender. It's just that no one wants to get near my hole, and I'm bitter. I know a man and a woman (that I made up) who were active gay for 14+ years. I'm telling you that they're happily married to each other and leading a ministry that helps others leave the hommosexual lifestyle. Even they'll tell you that I'm full of shit, as will any other gay person.

Fixed.

She hid the comment. Ugh. Pathetic. I commented on it, and got hidden, too.

I still can't get over how insane this is. Yes, gay people have the right to marry the opposite gender, but they don't WANT to. Heterosexuals can marry the person they love, but homosexuals can't. And that's not fair.

And who is she to say there's no love in homosexuality? Gosh, what a bitch. Those gay couples stick together through all the discrimination they face because they LOVE each other.

Whether god recognizes a marriage or not is only important to people who care, or believe in the same god you do. Not all people do, so your statement is irrelevant.

Your friends made their life choices, everyone else has the same right to make theirs.

It's not up to you.

I don't think the same terror leader who caused the giant flood and ordered several genocides is going to recognize it, no. No more than is Iran or Saudi-Arabia. However, what you fail to realize is that if we were to abide every whim of every tyrant, we'd still be in the Dark Ages.

God also commands you to kill those of different religions. Are you up for abiding that one, too?

The fundie God will hopefully eventually go away for good if science and education keeps moving and doesn't give us. Sic temper tyrannis.

Oh, and I was going to post the comic, but I see LordJiro beat me to it. Thank you :) .

@ Xotan,

<3! I know a gay couple who have been together for 30 years. Still like teenagers. I'm happy for you :D

Also Ruukah, you're a fucknut. You have no idea how hard it is to be yourself these days when you're gay, because the ignorant side of the heterosexual community tends to get the upper hand in picking gay rights. Not only that, but a few of us often get picked on for being who we are. There's no other reason, we'd never done anything else except for being in love with the same gender.

It is just in the same vain as being racist- being prejudiced against gays only shows your ignorance for something someone can't change. It's hard to say if you're born with it or "raised" into it, but what I do know from personal experience is that you can't help being it. You can't stop being gay just like you can't stop being straight. How would you like it if someone forced you into a gay marriage? Heck, a forced marriage of any form is disgusting. So don't expect us to conform just because you think that common = the social norm.

You fucker.
