You really think the same God who called homosexuality an abomination is going to recognize a gay couple as being married? He made marriage to be a good thing.

I said it once and I'll say it again: Gay people have the same right I do to marry someone of the opposite gender. They just choose not to. I happen to know a man and woman who were actively gay for 14+ years. Now they're happily married to each other and leading a ministry that helps others leave the homosexual lifestyle. They will tell you, as will any other ex-gay person, that there is no love in homosexuality--only lust.

You great nit. Why would/should a gay person marry someone of the opposite gender? They are not sexually attracted to the opposite gender. If they were, they wouldn't be gay!

Moreover, gay people don't ask (or initially don want) to be gay. They have no say in the matter. It seems to be a choice made by your Gawd. If so, it's pretty well in line with his arbitrary salvation of the 144,000 Elect - of which I doubt you are one.

Homosexual Exodus type organisations are frauds. This has been shown time and time again. But ostriches like you don't see this because you don't want to. It's a fraud because hassled and harrassed gays are driven to seek some kind of acceptance at any price. However, I foretell disaster down the road for this type of false realting of gays to heterosexuals in legal and moral bonds. It is dishonest on the part of the gays and of those who encourage/drive them down that path.

As to no love in homosexuality, how come I am with my partner for 35 years? How many heterosexual marriages last that long. Write me if you want to come and visit us and see if I am for real in what I have said.

Also Ruukah, you're a fucknut. You have no idea how hard it is to be yourself these days when you're gay, because the ignorant side of the heterosexual community tends to get the upper hand in picking gay rights. Not only that, but a few of us often get picked on for being who we are. There's no other reason, we'd never done anything else except for being in love with the same gender.

It is just in the same vain as being racist- being prejudiced against gays only shows your ignorance for something someone can't change. It's hard to say if you're born with it or "raised" into it, but what I do know from personal experience is that you can't help being it. You can't stop being gay just like you can't stop being straight. How would you like it if someone forced you into a gay marriage? Heck, a forced marriage of any form is disgusting. So don't expect us to conform just because you think that common = the social norm.

When my wife and I chose to get married we discovered that in Ontario, Canada where we live, only ministers of a church (any church) can marry people anywhere they choose. A civic marriage with a judge apparently could only be performed in a courtroom.
Since we wanted to be married in her parents' backyard, which was in spectacular full bloom at that time of the year, so we had to get a minister who would be willing to perform the ceremony without raising a fuss about us removing any mention of God from the ceremony. Fortunately we found one and got married as we had wanted.
I'm raising this point because the Christian anti-gay marriage people seem to think they have a monopoly on marriage, and that it is meant strictly as a Christian institution for one man and one woman.
It isn't in Canada and it's about time our cousins to the south grew up a little and started respecting all people regardless of sexual orientation.
After all, you managed to do it for creed, gender, and race, right?

I've never heard your god proclaim such a thing. I've heard people quote me a line or two from your holy book that someone else wrote, but I've yet to hear your god chime in on the matter. Why, it's almost as if he doesn't even care--or doesn't exist to begin with.
