At first I thought you were refering to a specific situation where one or a few dinosaurs species were thought to have lived at a certain time and then it was shown that such was incorrect. However, after rereading your post and noticing that you refered to "all" the dinosaurs twice I can only conclude that you are under the impression that all dinosaur species lived at the same time period. Most likely the discovery for such a claim was made by a Christian "scientist." Although how you prove this without trusting some sort of dating method (none of which support the idea that the world is 6,000 years old) is beyond me...No wait, that's incorrect, I have a pretty good idea how onw thinks they can prove both of those claims to be true, but despite what you may think the bible does not disprove mountains of scientific evidence.

With this definition in mind, the Theory of Evolution takes on a new meaning (well, it catches you up on the learning curve if you take notice). It suggests that there is much evidence in favor of this notion.
Speculation according to Princeton: "a hypothesis that has been formed by speculating or conjecturing (usually with little hard evidence)"
So, if it were called the Speculation of Evolution, you would not be in a position of logical fallacy to call it: "just" a speculation.
Who was there when Jesus walked the earth? Anyone you know? Yet you believe a 2,000 year old book written by various authors; many of them unknown. There is no way to fact check that one. Yet, you question a scientific theory based on the works and study of more than one living, breathing person? With years of verifiable documentation behind it?
