I would vote for death by firing squad, using people who aren't good shots, like me, and it would take a while for a fatal wound. That may sound on the harse side, but death by lethal injection is the easy way out. However, that being said, we also need to be praying for their salvation.

You know, for once, I could find myself agreeing with a fundie. This of course would depend entirely on what crime we're looking to punish here. Personally I advocate using child molesters as lab rats for as long as they can keep themselves alive.
Other than that I tend to stick with what the law provides in the way of punishment.

I'd say let them sit there and regret what they've done, year after year, decade after decade.
The Death Penalty has the great disadvantage of being irreversible. You can't take it back, if you later realize that the wrong person was convicted.
