I wouldn't feel safe if a man could come in there, and forget letting your daughters go to the restroom alone when you are sitting 20 feet away at a restaurant. I don't want to sound alarmist, but it's bad enough women can't let their little boys go into a men's room until they are as tall as them practically due to safety issues. I also can't imagine changing a babies diaper while some guy is at a urinal....dressed like a woman!

Overprotective much? I have to say I can't remember a time when I wasn't allowed into a public toilet on my own, and I've never even once had a single issue. Hope she doesn't have a son.
Hmm.... I'm going to burst your little bubble.
No self-respecting rapist will be stopped by the little sign on the restroom.
It even works the other way ... it's safer to prowl the ladies room as you're less likely to bump into a strong masculine guy and more likely to find a nice christian virgin..... :p
So, looking at it that way ..... I can see only benefits from allowing transsexuals the use of the ladies restroom.
As far back as I've been old enough to go to the toilet on my own, I've been allowed to go to public bathrooms on my own as well.
Though those signs on the door didn't mean squat to me. I couldn't reach the urinals, and there were more toilets in the women's room.
Last time I checked, they didn't put diaper changing facilities in the men's room OR urinals in the ladies. Nor did transexuals go around assaulting fundies at random when they go for a leak. Anyway, if you're a good fundie aren't you supposed to keep your daughters on leash until they are old enough to marry off? No bathroom for you, you little hussy! Pee in this pot like a good girl.
Some of the other posts in this thread are even better:
"Have any of you noticed this for years now here? I have - in department stores and other retail places I frequently would see a single restroom outside the seperate women and men's rooms with a woman/man symbol.
I was re-assured this was so that parents or care-givers could go into a restroom with the opposite sex to assist them, but it still made me wonder if this had something to do with trans-sexuals."
Wow, I'm alarmed. (said in a droll, sarcastic, monotone ala Ben Stein)
@Pagnostic:
I wonder if any of them noticed the handicapped signs that often appear on the doors of unisex lavatories.

I'm reminded of the Mall Ninja, saving young boys from assrape. Perhaps every restaurant should be required to hire a Restroom Ninja?

But you can only take female babies into female toilet, right? Or it would be so inappropriate.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
