"There might not be a physical persecution (yet) going on in North America, but there is a persecution of sorts. Christianity is being attacked."
I see no outcries against Christians on the news, or from government officials. I see no one being harassed in the streets for being Christian. What I do see is that televangelist on channel 61 is asking old ladies for money again.
"- The Ten Commandments are being removed from court rooms"
They shouldn't be there to begin with. I seem to remember there being something in them about "no other gods than me" and adultery being on par with murder and theft, and forbidding working on Sundays, and "obey your parents at all times"; and we don't follow those laws. All it does to have these "symbols of law" that we don't follow there is to belittle the laws that we do follow by making them "just symbols" by association, which is a very dangerous thing to do. Maybe we should have the Bill of Rights on display in courts instead? I googled and couldn't find any info on if we already do this...
"- Crosses are removed from public buildings"
If the public building is a church, then you've got something to complain about, if not, STFU and stop forcing your religious symbols onto places they have no business being.
"- Prayer is being removed from schools and government"
People can still pray quietly if they want. And no time out for organized prayer means more time for learning. Which is kind of the reason for schools. but it's not about being able to pray, is it, it's about being able to force others to adhere to your lifestyle.
"- Words like 'Christmas' and holiday season is being replaced by words like 'winter's day' and so on"
Because there are more religious holidays than Christmas in Winter. Inclusion is persecution now? lolwut. It's not "no you" it's "them too". Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Eid al Ada, and Happy Yule and Winter Solstice!! :D
