No one said anything about 57 states. There are, however, more than 50 territories. DC is a territory unto itself; ever hear them say "the fifty states and the District of Columbia"? Puerto Rico is not a state, it is a territory. There's also Guam and the US Virgin Islands. I don't know them all and don't claim to. But, whatever you are referring to, I am sure they did not use the word "states"; they used a phrase indicating the number of primaries held in states and territories.
So, you are the one making mistakes. Therefore, you must be the one that hates America. If you loved it, you'd know that there are territories as well as states.
