People don't hate Bush because he's a Christian, but because he's a fucking douchebag criminal. And an idiot that does not deserve to be president.

Milking the Catz
"God help us in the next 4 years, if America lasts that long."
Funny, I said that not only 8 years ago but 4 years ago.
6/11/2008 3:04:12 PM
Bush's religious views are secondary to all the other crap he's pulled and the lives he's endangered and the fact that the future of this country, financially and diplomatically, is pretty fucked.
Look beyond your bible; you'd be surprised how much of a real world is out there to see.

He shouldn't be impeached. He should be tried for (multiple) treason(s).
[on edit] Oh shit, Lefty Link beat me to it with his link.
6/11/2008 3:07:12 PM
/Wow, a President that stands for freedom, liberty and is a Christian...and people don't like him? What a surprise./
I'll keep that statement in mind if Obama becomes president.

Quoting Jim MacDonald at Making Light
"In my opinion:
Warrantless wiretapping is a high crime or misdemeanor that rises to an impeachable offense.
“Outing” Valerie Plame is a high crime or misdemeanor that rises to an impeachable offense.
Approving torture is a high crime or misdemeanor that rises to an impeachable offense.
“Preemptive war” is a high crime or misdemeanor that rises to an impeachable offense.
Use of “Signing statements” to violate the law even as the law is being signed is a high crime or misdemeanor that rises to an impeachable offense.
Violation of habeas corpus is a high crime or misdemeanor that rises to an impeachable offense.
Extraordinary rendition is a high crime or misdemeanor that rises to an impeachable offense.
Employment of mercenary armies is a high crime or misdemeanor that rises to an impeachable offense."
Jeebus, who's the ignorant and/or misinformed one, huh?

Jezebel's Evil Sister
"Wow, a President that stands for freedom, liberty and is a Christian ..."
The way this started out, I thought it was going to be an endorsement for Obama.
Then it got derailed by fundifucktardiness.
6/11/2008 3:17:40 PM
[...a President that stands for freedom, liberty...]
...and detention without trial...and warrentless wiretaps...
[...and is a Christian...]
...like all the other Presidents before him.
[...and people don't like him]
People don't like him because he's a self-righteous ignoramus and a liar.
[Those that like this idea [impeaching Bush] are either ignorant or misinformed of any absolute truth found in the world and lack a good sense worldview.]
The hypocrisy of that statement is beyond belief.
[We don't live in a vacuum...]
No, we don't. Which is why things are so fucked up right now.
[...and there are absolutes...]
Yes--Bush has ABSOLUTELY no business being in the White House?
[Thank God for a man like Bush who has stood up to these pressures.]
Ignored them, you mean?
[God help us in the next 4 years, if America lasts that long.]
On that note, we actually agree. Though probably not the way you think.
6/11/2008 3:19:05 PM
Bush is an idiot, an ass, a boob, a willing puppet, a liar and a crook. That he's a Christian barely matters after listing those qualities.
6/11/2008 3:22:49 PM
"Wow, a President that stands for freedom, liberty and is a Christian...and people don't like him? What a surprise. "
Not a surprise. The racist conservative base has had it's head exploding about Obama for a while now.
6/11/2008 3:35:32 PM
He doesn't stand for freedom or liberty. That's why people don't like him.
6/11/2008 3:41:55 PM
He is a motherfucking WAR CRIMINAL.
If this world has any justice left, he'd be in a shallow, unmarked grave.
6/11/2008 4:35:01 PM
Bush and his cabal are traitorous criminals deserving nothing more than what they gave Saddam.
Anyone supporting them is either making a buck from their activity or is severely brain damaged (in which case they should have their voting privileges revoked).
Bush may claim that he's a Christian but Jesus might have a different opinion were he alive.
6/11/2008 4:41:18 PM
Wow, this is some beautiful NewSpeak: domestic spying is freedom, intimidating dissent is liberty, and instigating mass slaughter is Christianity.
6/11/2008 4:43:54 PM
He should be dead and burning in a ditch, soaked in petrol.
6/11/2008 5:06:55 PM
Did this guy have his blinder on for the last 8 years?
6/11/2008 5:07:20 PM
Wow, a President that stands for freedom, liberty
Is he talking about Bush here? Surely he jests?
6/11/2008 5:14:58 PM
What "freedom" and "liberty" does Bush stand for?
6/11/2008 5:49:32 PM
I don't mind a Christian president. I do, however, resent a Christian president who wants to incorporate his theist beliefs into my Constitution. I was right behind Bush up until the point he started babbling about an anti-gay marriage amendment.
I can't conceive of anything more heartbreaking and un-American than a Constitutional amendment based on religious faith and aimed at one particular minority group.
6/11/2008 6:05:56 PM
For those of you who wondered about the 32% was that still support Bush, now you know where the come from.
6/11/2008 6:08:13 PM
You, like a truly depressing number of Americans, have no idea what "freedom" or "liberty" are.
We beat China in percentage of adults in prison. Fucking CHINA, man.
6/11/2008 6:28:42 PM
People hate Bush because he fucked up the economy, lied us into an unethical war, and has desperately tried to destroy our civil liberties.
6/11/2008 6:33:03 PM
War criminal and should be tried as such. Also, dumber than a horse turd.
6/11/2008 6:42:22 PM
Freedom: he has authorized the indefinite detention of POWs (and citizens on his shit list, i'm sure)
Liberty: Habeas Corpus - removed
If this nation gets fucked up/over, I would rather it be by the people than by Sir President Fuckwit.
