Hmmm, Kama/Karma. An eastern concept associated with hinduism, bhuddism, daoism/taoism and Zen philosphy. Good example for a fundi xtian to be using.

You didn't read the warning label on it that reads:
Warning: Keep ouiji board out of the hands of xtian morons.

The Exorcist is fiction. The Exorcism of Emily Rose is fiction. Demons do not possess people. There is no such thing as Satan.

The Exorcist is true, it happened to 2 different people in 2 different cities in Maryland. At 2 different times in history. But it is still true. Even though skeptics such as myself think it's a bunch of bull, and the Ouiji had NOTHING to do with the boy's mental illness.

my mom had one and said that she kept throwing it away and it kept coming back.
She was speaking of her children...you specifically.

"I got pregnant at 18. I just want to let you know that it's scary, and my mom had one and said that she kept throwing it away and it kept coming back. Be wary, I always thought they were just a joke, but not in my experience!"
Yeah, children will do that sort of thing.

You can't just throw away a Ouija board, you need to wrap the planchette in black velvet and bury it at the crossroads at midnight of the new moon. Then, at midnight of the full moon, you may burn the board.

IT answered "2, and then 18". I got pregnant at 18. I just want to let you know that it's scary, and my mom had one and said that she kept throwing it away and it kept coming back.

That's amazing! How ever did the "spirits" know the names of your sister and mother?

I loved the Exorcist, both movie and book. But I like to watch/read scary things for the entertainment value.
I think the truth behind the story is not so much that the girls was actually possessed, but that the family really did have a priest perform an exorcism. I guess they believed she was possesed.
Ouija Boards are a big hit at our Halloween party, get some people drunk enough, they will believe anything.

When I used to play with an ouija board with my obnoxious brother, all it ever spelled out were dirty words favored by pre-teen boys, like "poopy" and "fart." Strange, that.

The most dangerous ouija boards are the ones bearing the symbol of "Parker Brothers". You know an item is likely to carry much weight in the spiritual world when it is mass produced by ToysRUs.

No, that's a boomerang.
"If you've ever seen the exorcist, you'll know that there's evil out there. "
No problem, look up Buffy Summers in the phone book, she'll take care of it.

Sorry, I really do believe Ouija boards are a bad idea.
Not because of the supernatural reasons but because of the effect they have on the user.
From a psychological perspective entirely, it is true that using a medium that makes you feel a supernatural force is talking to you can illicit hallucinogenic, out-of-mind effects.
I work in a major hospital and I have seen patients that ended up going into psychotic states or otherwise experiencing serious disorders because Ouija boards set the platform to allow people to believe they are actually communicating with an otherworldly thing, when in fact it is just themselves they're talking to. It's like schizophrenia in a way, and people who are inherently prone to become disordered begin to experience it more and more and I've had patients say that the "ghost" from the "ouija board" moved into their head and talked with them.
Though this person is an idiot (and they subconsicously probably acted on what the Ouija said), they ARE dangerous.

I don't think you can blame the Ouija board when people are already mentally unstable. It isn't inherently dangerous; rather, the people using them are.
Also:
"I asked it 'How many kids will we have, how old will we be when we have kids?' IT answered '2, and then 18'. I got pregnant at 18."
Well, duh. That's what you get for having sex at 18. Prophecy doesn't count if you're consciously aware of it and actively trying to fulfill it (see: Jesus).
