Sorry to be very off topic but isn't homosexuals having sex the same as a brother or sister having sex? Now don't go buck wild crazy saying are you out of your mind. Think of it logically. Two people who shouldn't have sex, brother and sister do. Now has is that any different from two men having sex?

Lets see,
incest -> higher chance of their offspring having genetic defects
homosexuality -> only chance of getting offspring by adoption or surrogate mothers/sprm donations -> no higher chance of offspring with gene defects
No, I don´t see any logical connection between homosexuality and incest
"Two people who shouldn't have sex, brother and sister do. Now has is that any different from two men having sex?"
Now has it that either of those things are any different from Danny DeVito and Rhea Pearlman doing it ??? Should we make it illegal for ugly people to score ?? If we did you wouldn't even be here.
Wal, down heah in the Souf one-a them thar is highly fround upon, an' t'other's rightly incurridged. 'Swhy in Wes' Verginny we-uns ain't got but 'bout 3 DNA strains to figger out who done a murder or sumpin, an' ony a few lass names down heah.
If there was no chance of conception (one of the party were sterilized, maybe) and both were consenting adults, I would have no choice but to say it's okay. (shudder)
The big question is, who is being hurt by it?
Royalty married first cousins, and even siblings, to each other often, and everyone seemed okay with that, even though they were also expected to produce children!
Not even close.
1. Incest causes genetic defects. Homosexuality causes buttsecks. Can we see which one is worse?
2. For the love of god, SHADDAP!!!
Hey, if it works for them, let them just go ahead, if they truly love each other.
Only when they think about getting kids I might raise an objection, as the chances of a genetic defect are getting to big IMHO.
But then again, there are tests for that ...
Now don't go buck wild crazy saying are you out of your mind. Think of it logically. Something you shouldn't do, be an infidel christian. Another thing you shouldn't do, have sex with your sister. Now how is that different from being an infidel christian?
Are you looking for an excuse here?
Consenting adults may do as they like. So long as the brother and sister take every precaution against having a child, then they are harming nobody. And if they're not harming anyone, I don't see where it's anyone else's business. Just like homosexuals.
Heck, if they wanted kids, they could adopt, like other couples who couldn't/ shouldn't reproduce.
They might not want to mention the sibling thing to the social worker.
Would it even come up?
Right, and giving voting rights to women is the same as giving it to kids.
Letting Afro-Americans go to our schools is like letting cows go there.
Etc.
Idiots. All of them.
Is there any hard evidence ( West Virginia jokes don't count ) that there is statistically more incest in the south than in the north? There are "rednecks" and "white trash" living in the north too, as a matter of fact all over the country. Plus who said incest was restricted to white people?
I've lived in different parts of the country and trust me, you find "hicks" everywhere.
Any two consenting adults should be able to do whatever the hell they want, so long as it harms no one.
That having been said, I'm fairly certain that incest does usually count as a mental disorder, or as the product of either abuse or a mental disorder- and no, homosexuality does not, as virtually every major psychiatric organization will attest to- so it's comparing apples and oranges here.
well you see, Tina, gay sex can't produce children. But Brother/sister incest can produce offspring, with a high rate of birth defects. Like what happened to your brain.
@Neil
Hey hey, I was the submitter! lol
Funny how the only times my quotes have ever been accepted are when they're from this dude. He's just that funny.
My answer to his question is that the two things are nothing at all alike. The gay man can only be attracted to other men. The brother and sister can potentially be attracted to other people. One's a sexuality, the other...isn't.
1. I don't think man on man love is the same as incest.
2. Brothers and Sisters should not have sex because its bad for the possible offspring. If they are consenting participants then I would suggest they knock it off because its bad for the child. But I can't/won't stop them.
3. Your an idiot.
Because when two siblings "have sex" it's rarely consentual. See, we have something called psychological imprinting that keeps us from wanting to fuck our immediate relatives.
When incest happens, it's usually rape, a power move by the older sibling against the younger in their fucked up little family.
Two men, however, are often attracted to each other enough to have consentual sex.
Unless the sister has a penis, I think it is pretty different.
We had a story here recently about a father and daughter who had a child together. I feel bad for the man's wife. She had no idea until the father and daughter went public.
Yes. Two people of the same sex is completely different from having sex with a sibling or other relative.
Unless you're having gay sex with a relative. Which is just a different ball of wax...
"has is that"...ow, my brain.
I mean, he's right, if we accept that siblings should have sex and that two men should not have sex. Both would be instances of should not have sex.
Of course, where would I be without the touch of a man?
Honestly, he does make a good point, although he's come to the wrong conclusion. The idea of sleeping with a family member disgusts me, but logically, as long as they're using protection and don't have any children (what with the high risk of genetic defects), consensual incest between adults really isn't harming anyone. As uncomfortable as I am with the idea of a brother and sister sleeping together, I don't believe that it should be illegal. They should have the right to sleep with whomever they choose.
On the other hand, the vast majority of incest cases involve rape or abuse. A very, very large chunk of those involved the molestation of a child. This is a huge part of why people tend to be wary of incest.
Sex between ANY two people should be subject to the same laws as heterosexual sex. If it's forced, done with a minor or endangering the welfare of another individual, it should be a criminal offense. If it's completely consensual and between two adults, the government should stay out of their business.
CeilingCat:
In all seriousness, I think incest is more common in isolated communities, of which the rural South has quite a few. It's pretty much a natural consequence -- after a few generations, either every relationship is incest by default, or people start moving out and the community falters (and, likely, the incest situation gets worse).
It's hardly a southern thing anyway -- around the more urban areas of southern New England, people from New Hampshire and Maine get lots of incest jokes thrown their way.
isn't homosexuals having sex the same as a brother or sister having sex?
Um, not only is it incest, but "brother and sister" are heterosexuals. (At least in this example)
Comparison: FAIL
Slightly off topic, but I once heard of a pair of incestuous lesbian indentical twins. No, really! They had been seperated at birth. Both came out aged seventeen. When they met, they fell in love thanks to a condition called "Genetic Sexual Attraction", or GSA. This made them be attracted to each other, despite the fact that they were genetically identical. So yeah, incestuous twin lesbians.
Confused?
