I'm to the point where I just can't wait to go to Heaven. No matter how I get there. Death or rapture. If someone were to tell me that I have cancer and will be gone soon, I think I'd throw a party if I didn't have my children to care for. All that I do that is worthwhile on this earth is tell other people how Jesus saved me from sure destruction. Everything else is secondary.

This is why Rapture-Ready Christianity is so fucking dangerous. I'm gonna put this on my blog. It takes people who don't know any better, evangelizes them at weak points in their lives, and turns them into armchair fanatics with no ambition but to wait until Jesus comes. Absolutely deplorable. This isn't a religion, it's a destructive cult that causes people to reject solving the issues our planet faces. Absolutely sickening. These people all need to go to mental hospitals.
I think if you abandoned your children, that would be considered an act of selfishness, and according to your own dogma, you won't be going to your pearly gates for that

Soldier of Fortune magazine is filled with ads from gentlemen who would be only too glad to accomodate you.

Just don't say that to your kids. Remember: they'll be the ones who will be in charge of selecting your nursing home.

Oh, so in other words, you don't do anything worthwhile on this earth. I agree; you've wasted your life and might as well be dead.

It is up to yu to change your life. You could do so many useful things with it, without having to wait till you come into some form of afterlife and annoying other people ;)

Well, I'm sure most members of the People's Temple, Heaven's Gate, and the Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God felt the same way, PeaceofChrist.

Ah, but when you get to Heaven you won't care about your kids any more, remember? God will make you so happy that you'll understand why it's a wonderful thing that they're left behind, and rejoice when they get sent to eternal damnation!
Confused?
