Should Evolutionists Be Allowed to Vote?
--They do not and can not know the purpose for Man. In
fact, all of them believe Man has no purpose.
?-Therefore, they cannot make informed judgments about
how men should behave toward each other, or what would
be "good" or "bad" for any group of men to do, or not do.
--Thus, they have no sane foundation upon which to base
“laws” or rational for insisting that other men obey the
laws.
--Thus, the religion they profess to believe renders them incapable
of participating in any decision about what men ought
to do. But, that is the purpose of all law.
--Therefore, in a sane society, evolutionists should not be allowed
to vote, or influence laws or people in any way!

They should, perhaps, make bricks to earn enough to eat.

Hmmmm.....

Which is more ironic; the attempt at "logic" or the fact that the organization wanting to remove the right to vote from a group of people is called the CSA?

Prager

I like this version better:

Should fundamentalists be allowed to vote?
--Their perception of man and his purpose is solely to glorify an entity that is all powerful yet threatened by anyone who dares ask questions.
?-Therefore, they cannot make informed judgements about modern issues as their perceptions have been fashioned by mythological views originating in the bronze-age.
--Thus, the foundation upon which they base their views is ill-suited to the modern era and does not reflect the advances made by society.
--Thus, the religion they profess to believe renders them incapable
of participating in any decision making about what people ought
to do and the laws they ought to live by.
--Therefore, in a sane society, fundamentalists should not be allowed
to vote, or influence laws or people in any way!

Darn

Repeat after me:

The theory of evolution is NOT a religion.

Ow, and how you would love to enslave everyone with greater ability or smarter then you.
Well, wake up and smell the coffee, it's 2008 right now, we're no longer in the fucking middle ages!

We've got our rights, my ancestors fought hard for them, and I'll be damned that I will let some religious asshole try to take them away from me!

Septic Sceptic

They're already doing this where i'm from. If you're an evolutionist you have to recite the Noah's ark story (KJV) without a flaw before they let you into the booth. Last year a few of us tried a peaceful protest, but they turned the water cannons on us. :(

We shall overcome, we shall overcome,
We shall overcome someday;
Oh, deep in my heart, i do believe,
We shall overcome someday...

Waiting for God

So, we cannot know the purpose of man, eh Tom?

- No, we cannot know the purpose of man. However we can guess, the same as every other human being who has ever had the chance to gaze at the stars and wonder what on Earth it's all for. You don't know the purpose or whether there is a purpose, all you believe we are here for is to please Jesus. Our opinions are just as valid as your (probably a lot more).

Fail.

"Therefore, they cannot make informed judgments about
how men should behave toward each other, or what would
be "good" or "bad" for any group of men to do, or not do."

- One does not need to God to understand morality, in fact I dare say it's easier to be moral when not attempting to make your morals compatible with rape, murder and slavery. Human morality is actually a product of evolution, look it up.

Large fail.

"Thus, they have no sane foundation upon which to base
“laws” or rational for insisting that other men obey the
laws."

- as opposed to an insane foundation, such as believing that God will torture you eternally for working on the sabbath or coveting thy neighbours wife. How many men can honestly say they have never thought about the neighbour's wife once and a while, is 'window shopping' worth spending an eternity in hell for?

Epic fail.

"Thus, the religion they profess to believe renders them incapable of participating in any decision about what men ought to do. But, that is the purpose of all law."

- How?, Why?, Wha-. How does non belief in the supernatural make us inadequate to decide how humans should behave in the natural world? You're insinuating that we are less than human because we believe differently than you.

Cataclysmically monsterous fail.

"Therefore, in a sane society, evolutionists should not be allowed to vote, or influence laws or people in any way!"

- Whoever said our society was sane, I thought religious bigotry, ingnorance and insanity was a staple of the republican party; I do however only have the current administration with which to form an opinion.

In short, what you are saying is that the freedoms enshrined in the American constitution, should not apply to those people who aren't creationists, those people who don't subscribe to bling ignorance and walk around with their fingers in their ears and their eyes closed; just in case they might see or hear something which challanges their religious fantasies.

Words alone, cannnot descibe the depth of disgust I have for you.

Mister Spak

Should fundies be allowed to vote?

They can't distinguish between fantasy and reality. They think everything is controlled by a giant man with a long white beard who lives on clouds. Such a person is unable to make decisions about how the world around them works.
They don't understand even the most basic concepts of science. In a science based economy this is a crippling defect.

They don't understand the most basic concepts of democracy. They think everyone should obey the commands of the giant man with a long white beard who lives on clouds. In a free society this is a dangerous delusion, putting the entire society at risk.

They should perhaps, flip burgers to earn enough to eat because they are too mentally inept to do anything more challenging.

Mr. Willis,

Your heartfelt sentiments reveal a fact that has become increasingly clear. Scratch the surface of the veneer of civilization of a fundamentalist, be they of the Moslem variety or the Christian variety, and you find the soul of a despot.

Your choice of making bricks is significant because you willingly cast yourself in the role of the repressive Egyptians of the time of Moses. You willing follow the model of the slaveholding Pharaoh who you profess to despise for his treatment of the Israelites. Jesus would take a whip to you and thrown you out of the temple of American politics. You are a Christian in name only and an American in name only. Your choice of action clearly indicates that the freedoms of being an American citizen mean nothing to you except in the context of what you personally receive. You have no regard for the freedoms of others. You belong in a repressive theocracy someplace else. Leave.

"Q.E.D. - Quod Erat Demonstrandum"

That doesn't mean what you think it means. You've demonstrated nothing. All you have done is made a tonne of baseless assertions.

[--They do not and can not know the purpose for Man. In

Why don’t you tell us, then. What is Man’s purpose?

[?-Therefore, they cannot make informed judgments about

be "good" or "bad" for any group of men to do, or not do. Thus, they have no sane foundation upon which to base
“laws” or rational for insisting that other men obey the

Actually, we do. It's called "ethics". Look it up.

[--Thus, the religion they profess to believe renders them incapable of participating in any decision about what men ought to do. But, that is the purpose of all law.]

It's not a religion.

[--Therefore, in a sane society, evolutionists should not be allowed to vote, or influence laws or people in any way!]

You claim to value law, yet you're advocating that certain people be stripped of their right to vote (the foundation of our Democracy) based on their beliefs (which is a First amendment violation).

Congratulations--you're a hypocrite. Read the Constitution.

[They should, perhaps, make bricks to earn enough to eat.]

Is this your “informed judgement” of what would be “good” for a group of men to do?

[Q.E.D. - Quod Erat Demonstrandum]

You've just demonstrated that you're an idiot. Well done!

I rather think we're the best equipped to vote as we're not deluded by some imaginary religion, but instead, by the desire to promote the best and healthiest society for all people and the world in general.

- Citizenship is not dependent on religious affiliation.

Should theists be allowed to vote?

They think life has a Purpose and they try to pursue that Purpoes, wasting tax dollars on something stupid and futile.

"They do not and can not know the purpose for Man. In
