Sadly school has degraded to teaching facts...

No, we're not going to teach your dogma.
...wait, are you admitting that your dogma isn't a fact?
The full sentence reads "Sadly school has degraded to teaching facts and moral relativity."
Myths and fascism, that's what we need! That's why we need the Christian Right!
Somewhere in the void I hear Joseph Goebbels quietly laughing to himself.
I've noticed that many fundies have a habit of putting arbitrary words in quotes.
Example: what those blasphemous heathens don't "realize" is that you can't "have" a marriage between two fags.
But when it would actually work to their advantage, they don't fucking do it.
This comes from a thread discussing the supposedly horrible way that Darrell Scott, the father of one of the Columbine school shooting victims, was treated when he testified before Congress a tale passed around fundy circles via spam e-mail. However, Scopes does a pretty good job of debunking the extraneous material (i.e., LIES) the fundies added to the story. It's at:

There's no way he can be serious. Poe or sarcasm.
*edit* Damn, looks like he's serious. You left off the "and moral relativity," though, so it might not be as stupid as it looks.
What else are they supposed to teach, Wally the whacked-out wingnut? Fundy dogma?
Go back to your fundy pastor & assume the usual position of having your head up your ass.
I see what you mean, Rubyfruit.
"Sadly school"...where they teach all the sadlies, or is it the school they attend every Sadly...?
Jezebel's (more beautiful) Evil Twin Sister, it is "Snopes" my dear, probably a mistype. Sorry to correct you since you are probably one of my favorite posters here. And I agree about the horrendous use that these idiot fundies and the NRA(National Republican{formerly Rifle} Association) have made of one father's grief.
I would worry about any school which had degraded to teaching nothing but facts. A useful education has to cover analytical thinking, inductive reasoning and many other methodologies, even flawed ones, so that the student gains an understanding of what does and doesn't work and how other people think or historically once thought.
Without that discipline, what use can facts be put to, and how well could a person derive new and useful facts from new information?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
