Um, looking at my certificate is also says "Certificate of Live Birth". The majority of birth certificates say that because, well, they are documents certifying that a human being has been born, alive. As opposed to a death certificate. The term birth certificate is a generic term used by the general public. My Certificate of Live Birth specifies that my parents were "unmarried", but it names both my mother and my father as said parents. They were not married, they are my parents, and I was born alive.
My parents were not married but I myself am. Obama's parents were married, and he is married as well.
What the hell does any of it have to do with anything?

And my birth certificate doesn't say anything about my parent's martial status (they were married). I wasn't aware they ever did. But then I'm Canadian, maybe the standard is different in the US.
