There is no way that this world will continue on for 30 more years. NO WAY! Tensions are running way too high. SOMETHING has to happen because those built up tensions will soon reach a peak.
Iran is deliberatly taunting the USA and Israel because they DO want for something to start up.
That Iranian President is not only an Islamic extremist, but he is also INSANE. He believes that the Mahaddi (spelling wrong I know) must enter the scene during a cataclysmic event, when the middle east is in complete turmoil. Therefore, he wants to start something up to cause that scenerio in order for his Mahaddi to come to the rescue.

The first four sentences: horseshit.
There's always tension. That's life, that's humanity.
The rest: can't argue with this, but it's the same for christians.
Bottom line: stupidity reigns supreme in religion.
The USA is deliberately taunting Iran because they DO want something to start up.
The American President is not only a Christian extremist, but he is also INSANE. He believes that Jebus (spelling wrong I know) must enter the scene during a cataclysmic event, when the middle east is in complete turmoil. Therefore, he wants to start something up to cause that scenario in order for his Jebus to come to the rescue.
Fixed (and as valid - NB statements made for purposes of parody are not necessarily those of the poster)
The Shi'a believe in the Mahdi, that is the 12th Imam. They believe he is in hiding and that he will return to Earth and restore peace in a new world order. Insanity, you say? A bit far-fetched, perhaps, but also strangely reminiscent of someone we already know...
It may well be possible that within the next 30 years there will be a great war with involvement of the western powers, for example between Israel and Arab states or between china and the western powers.
But you should better not assume that there will be a rapture that automatically beams you to heaven so you don´t have to experience it ;)
I wonder how many people thought, "Tensions are running too high" even thirty years ago? Y'know, what with this Cold War (against an enemy that actually had nukes), and even a gas shortage, a lot like today's.
Yet, here we are, thirty years later.
This is a self-fulfilling prophecy. In the next 30 years, it is probably inevitable that cultists and hatemongers such as those at Rapture Ready (and the Neo-Cons in Washington who spread lies about those Weapons of Mass Destruction that Iran supposedly has) will kill all of humanity in a nuclear war. Which is why resisting their ilk is so important.
"He believes that the Mahaddi (spelling wrong I know) must enter the scene during a cataclysmic event"
And this is different from you rapture ready christians doing nothing to help the world because "It's going to be the Rapture soon" how?
@#578021
(against an enemy that actually had nukes)
An enemy that had just come out of the bloodiest conflict the world had known up till that time and therefore not as hellbent on round number three in 'let's see how many people we can kill in say 4 or 5 years" as western propaganda always has made it out to be.
I'm afraid that was the difference with the situation nowadays, yep we had our share power of hungry nut-jobs (both sides of the pond), but they were at least restrained by a grain of common sense, and ... they after world domination, not Armageddon.
There is no way that this world will continue on for 30 more years. NO WAY!
Great! Care to make a bet on that? If I win, I'll get all your stuff. If you win, well, you won't need it anymore, so I get all your stuff.

Ya know, change a few details and this could have been written anytime in the last 200 years. Where does all of this Christian fatalism come from in the first place? It's like they are hoping that the world will end soon.
-------------------
I assume it is because of the turn of the millenium.
Seems to be a natural date for fatalists to expect Armageddon. AFAIK it was the same around 1000 AD, lots of doom prophets and doom cults appearing before 1000 AD with things winding down slowly, after 1000 AD went by without Jesus coming down on earth.
I assume when the next 2-3 decades go by without any signs of a rapture, nowadays christian fundamentalists will lose lots of their believers as well
There is no way that this world will continue on for 30 more years. NO WAY! Tensions are running way too high. SOMETHING has to happen because those built up tensions will soon reach a peak.
The USA is deliberatly taunting Russia and Iran because they DO want for something to start up.
That American President is not only an Christian extremist, but he is also an Idiot. He believes that the Private Sector (spelling wrong I know) must enter the scene during a cataclysmic event, when the economy is in complete turmoil. Therefore, he wants to start something up to cause that scenerio in order for his buddies to earn more money.
FIXED!
That Rapture Ready fundie is not only a Christian extremist, but he is also INSANE. He believes that the Messiah (spelling right I know) must enter the scene during a cataclysmic event, like after a couple million people have been sucked into the sky by vacuum Jesus. Therefore, he wants to start something up to cause that scenario in order for his Messiah to come to the rescue.
Fixed.
i agree for once, the planet wont continue on for much longer, but only because christian fundies are so eager to push the big nuke the world buttons.
here is where i disagree: That Iranian President is not only an Islamic extremist, but he is also INSANE. He believes that the Mahaddi (spelling wrong I know) must enter the scene during a cataclysmic event, when the middle east is in complete turmoil. Therefore, he wants to start something up to cause that scenerio in order for his Mahaddi to come to the rescue.
that sounds oddly familiar, where have i heard that before....didnt some preacher in a backwash town in the bible belt say something similar?
Yeah, people thought that in the 1930's here in America during the depression. They thought that in Ireland in the 19th century during the potato famine. They thought that during the dark ages and during the middle ages. They thought that during WWI and WWII.
None of them were right either.
"Mahaddi (spelling wrong I know)"
If you know it is wrong, why don't you look it up? Oh, that's right. Fundies don't research and find out the facts about the topics they discuss. Sorry, I forgot.
Nutjob calls another nutjob a nutjob.
Both Evangelitards and Islamotards of Iran want to bring about the apocalypse. Both control tremendous nuclear arsenals.
Make a good argument why these people, who threaten the human species with extinction, don't belong in prisons somewhere.
Well, the Mayans said the world ends in 2012.
Oh wait, I forgot. The Mayans were godless heathens, weren't they? Nevermind ...
There's a new fangled invention some ebil scientist came up with. It's called a mirror, and you're staring deeply into it, dumbass.
Who was it again that said "be careful as you stare into the abyss, for the abyss also stares into you."
And how is he any different from you then RR?
@Scooby71
The comparison to Bush and the President of Iran are too much alike. And that is what's scary.
We have two powerful leaders are complete fundi nutjobs.
Praise to God the omnibenevolent, omnipowerful, and omniscient, who has knowingly sown the seeds of the earth's destruction!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
