Lots of people are unhappy, whether they're gay, straight, or bisexual. But for the ones who are, maybe it's the daily discrimination, the fact that there are people like you who treat them like shit and call them faggots.

I am sick and tired of that similar vain of argument, that in the 'good old days', the world was such a better place. I think people like you really need a sense of perspective - a trip in a time machine should suffice.
Just because you want to hide such ridiculous ideas behind the facade that it was 'acceptable' in years gone by does not make your argument in any way acceptable or reasonable in the least. This sort of speech in our enlightened times is deemed hate speech and correctly so.

the rainbow isn't a gay symbol specifically. It represents diversity or more specifically a diverse group coming together to form one beautiful image. Secondly, homosexuals have a slightly increased susceptibility to depression and such due to society (specifically people like you) being vile a degrading toward them. Most learn to live with it though and as such have more consistent self esteem since petty things tend not to wear on them as much.

Times change, ABM. Stay with them. Things change because the majority of people feel the need for change...in the name of progress. There have been some experiments in social change that may have had no valid point or purpose, but I support those changes that allow human acceptance of diversity.
