Quote# 41337

I have always looked at Ameirca as Gods last stand. America was founded by christian leaders and groups who fled persecution. Now if you look at a map, there is no where else to go, no where to run, or hide. This is it. With our country slowly getting rid of God in every matter of life from school, to politics and so on, there isn't anywhere else for us to run to. Which brings up my thoughts that may be similiar to others, and that is that we must be brought down so Israel can be held up. Also remember that when Israel is attacked in the gog and magog war no one comes to help her, so God must, maybe shows a little more of how we must be brought down so God can show the world his judgment and his defense of Israel as his chosen people. Anyways don't want to get off topic, think I made my point!

If there's anything I hate more than homophobic, creationist, theocratic, jingoistic, nutjob fundies -- it's got to be these self-fulfilling prophecy, pro-Israel fucktards.

"Now if you look at a map, there is no where else to go, no where to run, or hide."

Antarctica? Not a lot of people there. Mars? You could go to a brand new planet and leave us non-believers to sort out this one.

"Also remember that when Israel is attacked in the gog and magog war no one comes to help her"

The what?

America was founded by christian leaders...
Umm...no it wasnt.

With our country slowly getting rid of God in every matter of life from school, to politics and so on...
Your god belongs in your church.
No one said you can't pray in school. You can't force others to pray.

Anyways don't want to get off topic, think I made my point!
What point? You just kept rambling on and on.

"America was founded by christian leaders and groups who fled persecution."

America was founded by deists and people who wanted to throw off the oppression of England and her king.

Also, TREATY OF TRIPOLI, BITCH!

You know where we'll never try to take God out of?

A church.

Take your God damn religion there, keep it there, and I promise there won't be a problem.

Aw dammit, Feminazi joins the list of people who can type faster than me.

Er... have you heard about the Vatican? Ireland? Poland? Other strongly Christian nations?

I'm sorry sir, but the Founding Fathers and the Treaty of Tripoli would like to have a word with you.

Allegory for Jesus

America was originally populated by Christians fleeing persecution (a testament to the problems caused by interdenominational strife). It was founded by Deists who were sick of being exploited by an external country, despite being largely autonomous.

There may not be school sponsored prayer, but religion in politics is alive and well. There may not be any other country that supports fundamentalist Christianity like America does, but...well...that is a good thing. America having nothing to do with a Bible prophecy does not mean that America needs to cease to exist.

Get your persecution complex out of here!

Most were Deist, but if they were Christian, their religion didn't influence them.

and groups who fled persecution. Now if you look at a map, there is no where else to go, no where to run, or hide. This is it.

Huh?

With our country slowly getting rid of God in every matter of life from school, to politics and so on, there isn't anywhere else for us to run to.

There's still private institutions.

Which brings up my thoughts that may be similiar to others, and that is that we must be brought down so Israel can be held up.

So you'd let another nation attack us?

Also remember that when Israel is attacked in the gog and magog war no one comes to help her, so God must, maybe shows a little more of how we must be brought down so God can show the world his judgment and his defense of Israel as his chosen people. "I have always looked at Ameirca as Gods last stand."

I can't help that.

"America was founded by christian leaders and groups who fled persecution."

No, America was founded by persons of many different convictions including Christians of several different sects, Deists, atheists and others. Some of them fled persecution, but remember, most of that persecution was at the hands of other Christians.

"Now if you look at a map, there is no where else to go, no where to run, or hide. This is it."

Oh, come now. I have a nice, roomy "B" ark waiting for you.

"With our country slowly getting rid of God in every matter of life from school, to politics and so on, there isn't anywhere else for us to run to."

No, you are still allowed to do essentially whatever you think your religious belief require in your home, your church, in the homes or on the property of other like minded persons, you just can't use public funds, public monies or inflict your beliefs on unwilling persons.

"Which brings up my thoughts that may be similiar to others, and that is that we must be brought down so Israel can be held up."

Israel must be "help up" even when their policies are patently oppressive and draconian?

"Also remember that when Israel is attacked in the gog and magog war no one comes to help her, so God must, maybe shows a little more of how we must be brought down so God can show the world his judgment and his defense of Israel as his chosen people."

First, I'd like to congratulate you on winning this week's "WOW, What A Train-Wreck of a Sentence" award.
Second, why do you think Israel should be "held up" if the Bible says Israel will not be supported?

"Anyways don't want to get off topic, think I made my point!"

You had a point?

With our country slowly getting rid of God in every matter of life from school, to politics and so on, there isn't anywhere else for us to run to.

Not true! There's always the antarctic, or you could find an abandoned oil rig or set up an independent, floating state on the open seas . You creepy bastards should go there and set up an isolationist colony, where you can focus single-mindedly on obeying your childishly crude, savage theistic laws and wasting your lives away in anticipation of an imaginary apocalypse. You should go there now, and stop annoying the rest of us with your constant demented preaching and whining about your delusions of persecution.

Kindasorta, though I live in the United States rather than "Ameirca." Is that a small Philippine island or something?

Many early settlers came here for religious reasons, but far from all. The revolutionaries were much less religious, but that came nearly two centuries later.

Even the religious settlers, however, weren't exactly fleeing "persecution." As Garrison Keillor put it, his ancestors came here in search of greater religious restrictions than were allowed under English law at the time.

America was founded by christian leaders and groups who fled persecution.
Wrong it was founded by Enlightened thinkers who were descended from people who came fleeing religious persecution.

Uh, wouldn't ISRAEL be god's last stand?

... and the 'forefathers' you speak of were mostly deists, with varying beliefs. Important thing is, they didn't want the country to be fucked up by religious nuts like you.

You don't know the history of this nation very well.

The United States of America is not mentioned anywhere in the bible, so how can your god have any plan for it? Doesn't the bible tell, and predict, all?
