Quote# 41340

Talking about George Bush:

I hate to say it, but W scares me. After hearing some of the things he's said and seeing what he's done, I get the overwhelming feeling that he's a wolf in sheep's clothing. If folks really do their research on his behavior (i.e. globalism, dividing Israel, placing Allah in the same league as Jesus, etc., etc., etc...), then they will come to see that there's something rotten in the state of Denmark, so to speak. I cannot judge a man's heart, of course, but the blasphemy of equating our God with the gods of Islam et al is something no true born-again believer would do - and that's just the tip of the iceberg with GW.

The comparison of hods is a fundie thing,
but aside from this his characterization of GWB seems to be correct, something you won´t find often in an american fundie :D

Amos

For once he's too liberal!

Bush is the president of Denmark?!

"I cannot judge a man's heart, of course, but the blasphemy of equating our God with the gods of Islam et al is something no true born-again believer would do"

There is only one god in Islam, the god of Abraham (yours).

@DW

It's an even more unlikely scenario than Dubya being president of Denmark (c'mon, they've got no oil!):

One of the RR people has read a (non-bibilical) book!

Hamlet, Act 1 / Scene 4

BUSH STAYS THE FUCK OUT OF DENMARK! We've got enough bad politicians already.

I'd agree though, that GWB is an asshole. But my reasons for thinking so don't really fit with that RR guy...

Wet Walnuts

Just now, you people are wondering about GW Bush...?

For daring to tarnish the works of William Shakespeare, I sentence you to play the leading role in a very accurate production of Hamlet, if you get what I mean. Stage blood isn't good enough for us.

Mister SPak

And you figured this out just now?
Fundies - always behind the curve.

if only he stopped there...

And stop pretending you know Shakespeare. At least you messed up the quote, so there won't have to be any painfull torture by the litterate.

Marcellus: Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

They only just realize this as soon as he's almost finished, eh? :(

" but the blasphemy of equating our God with the gods of Islam "

Same nonexistent god of Abraham. Deal with it.

Holy shit...

Eight and four years ago, these fundie nitwits put their collective electoral weight behind Bush to get him elected. They stuck to him despite torture in US prisons, starting an unjust war, illegal wiretapping, incompetence after Katrina, a complete disregard of civil rights, the law, the constitution, the international community...
And now, just before that man has to leave office anyway, this guy starts to realize that Bush might not have been a good choice for president... and what exactly is it that puts him off? Oh, it's nothing of the above, no, not the thousands of DEAD... It's because Bush dares to show a minimum of respect to other people's beliefs (even if it's just for show), because he's not big enough of an asshole for them.
And what's the instinctive knee-jerk reaction look like? "Oh, he's can't be a true Christian™ then, his faith doesn't agree with mine!" Distance yourself from the bastard to keep your precious beliefs safe.

Watch him, in another six months, he'll never have voted for Bush in the first place.

Fucking waste of oxygen.

Hey! No shoving that shit over to our side now... you've been claiming him as yours for years.

How is this fundie? Sounds to be talking sense to me.

Gee, well it's a little too late to grow a brain now. You fundies elected that dunce, so now deal with it!

6/22/2008 2:57:31 PM

I take it you missed the part about Karl Rove making fun of the fundie leaders in his office after the last election when their follower's votes were no longer needed? Too bad you idiots didn't figure this out before you re-elected the crook!

6/22/2008 3:13:37 PM

Empress

Wow. A fundie who doesn't like Bush. Maybe I was wrong about the whole Armageddon thing, after all.

He's blaming the right person for all the wrong reasons but atleast he's better then the "oh no Obama is teh antichrist" people.

While I do enjoy the change of pace involved in Christian fundies bashing Dubya, I have to agree with nintendofreakgcn and insist you make with the poison-tipped swordfights.

6/22/2008 4:01:57 PM

Pyroclasm

Wait, you're angry that Bush isn't fundie enough? What the fuck?

6/22/2008 4:11:04 PM

approximate

Just because he threw around some fundie code words doesn't make him one of you. He's a politician and will say and do anything to get into power.

Too bad you people didn't figure this out eight years ago.
