"A theocracy is ok with me. No crime, violence, men and women getting married, no spread of STDs, how can one beat that when ALL are on the same page?"
Presumably you're Tweeting this, as you board the Saudia plane for Riyadh, or the Iran Air plane for Tehran eh, TheRepubicVenu?
...what's that? You're not? Well then. Every second you're not doing so means you've destroyed your own argument.
Now STFU and eat your bowl of US Constitution. With all the Freedoms and Rights a civilised country needs to stay healthy.
PROTIP: We in the UK don't even have a Constitution (our government simply abides by the EU Convention on Human Rights)- and we actually have a state religion (Church of England), yet, for some unfathomable reason, we Brits have freedom of worship, and belief - and the freedom of not worshipping & not having a belief. So we as a nation must be going wrong somewhere?
...oh yes, that's right. Despite the above, we in the UK simply aren't as obsessed about religion (going to church purely for christenings, weddings & funerals) as you fundie nutty buggers are over there. Or mayhaps we're the ones doing it right, and it's you fundies in the US who are doing it wrong. That, despite our state religion, religion has no right to tell we Brits what to do.
But then, that's what comes from our healthy British sense of irony, self-deprecation - and cynicism; the ability to question - and make fun of - everything: politicians, royalty, media, celebrities, and the establishment, especially religion itself.
Irony. Criticising everything. You should try it, US fundies. It won't kill you. We in the UK are still here, still not giving a flying fuck about religion. And that's absolute Freedom.
As for you Dominionists and your dream of a 'Theocratic' America...:
