[Would you deny a child a loving pair of mothers just because it didn't fit your religious beliefs?]
To save them from Hell; if we deny gay marriage and adoption then that will force homos to be straight and marry the opposite gender, thus saving their souls from Hell!
It's the Christian thing to do!
Praise Jesus!

According to your belief they would land in hell nevertheless, as they probably, just to fit into fundamentalist christian society, would marry someone of the opposite gender, but will secretly have sex with someone of the same gender (just as one of your more homophobous priests did some time ago; preaching against homosexuality, having a wife and children, but secretly going to gay prostitutes ;)).
Another imaginable situation would be that you have 2 couples:
2 lesbians and 2 gays, of which 1 lesbian marries one gay, enabling them to adopt children whiloe still retaining their sexualk relationships with their real partners.

Saving people from hell by forcing them into miserable circumstances. Where's the net gain?

Holy fuck, you're stupid.
No, you won't. Homosexuals have been around since the dawn of man and have been in the closet most of that time. Denying them rights will not stop them from being who they are.
It doesn't work that way. Not in the real world, anyway.
YES! Praise Jesus! Don't think for yourself and just praise, praise Jesus! After all, it's the christian thing to enforce arbitrary rules so that everyone is forced to conform to what YOU like under the threat of some make-believe punishment courtesy of a ghost.
Well, sir. If you don't mind me saying, that is a whole barrel of stupid.
"if we deny gay marriage and adoption then that will force homos to be straight and marry the opposite gender,"
IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!
But if God's Will is always done, then by separating homosexual couples, you would be going against God himself, and messing with destiny, not to mention that God has a good reason why He's damning them to Hell [God works all things for good? idk] so .... It's the idiot thing to do.
if we deny gay marriage and adoption then that will force homos to be straight and marry the opposite gender,
Oh shit! Damn! Fuck a flatulent duck!
Of COURSE! DENY gays marriage and adoption!!
WHY hasn't that been tried yet?? Boy are we the big sillys!!
Odd, society has been forcing gay people to marry people of the opposite gender to "cure" them for centuries and it has yet to make one gay person straight.
Though this is so obvious that i am almost inclined to believe rift3r is a POE.
Separating families. It's the Christian thing to do.
Because when we say we're pro-family, we're really only pro-families that fit our narrow definition, and any that don't we will gladly destroy.
No. No, it won't.
I have a lesbian aunt who lives in Ohio with her girlfriend. They can't get married in that state, but they're still happily together. And they're doing a good job raising my cousins to be happy. (And my cousins are hetero, BTW. Not all gay parents raise gay kids, just like not all straight parents raise straight kids.)
Probably a Poe, but just in case it isn't:
I, Ennis, take thee, Alma....
/To save them from Hell;/
Who? The mothers? The child?
/if we deny gay marriage and adoption then that will force homos to be straight and marry the opposite gender,/
What do you think homosexuals did before there was ever such a thing as gay marriage or adoption?
/thus saving their souls from Hell!
It's the Christian thing to do!/
No, it's a spiteful, callous, self-righteous thing to do. You are an absolute moron.
'cause denying gays marriage and adoption really caused them to be straight. I mean, Alan Turing was so very impressed by the charges he faced, for example, that he married and had 2.5 children instantly!
But...wbat about Christians who aren't married? Are they not saved either?
I thought that you needed to believe in Jesus to be saved, not get married!
CONTRADICTION.
Dear rift3r,
Your argument would work if... umm... let me put it this way: these folks are human too, so you actually can infer the effectiveness of your proposal by seeing how well this would work on you. Let's switch tables then, and ask you if anyone or anything can force you to *become* homosexual.
I can hear your reaction from here -- "Eeeeeeew!!" -- hence proving my point.
All you'd achieve is force a sizable portion of us to live lives of hypocrisy: they'd *act* as if they're normal, but would continue to have affairs with the same sex, just like that rabidly anti-gay pastor whose name escapes me at the moment. Ted something...
Confused?
