(After complaints that he visited the Pentagon):
The military is now one of the most “politically correct” places in the USA. Not only do Christians have the freedom to meet—but so do Muslims, Hindus, and almost any other group you could name. Of course, if I had been a Muslim and went to the Pentagon to address a Muslim prayer breakfast, I’m sure PZ Myers would not have ranted against that—it is only Christians one is allowed to be intolerant of nowadays, it seems.

Let me guess, in his opinion this is a Very Bad Thing Indeed (TM).

I don't see a problem here, Kenny. These men and women are risking an awful lot for the rest of us. They sign their lives over to the military. That makes the military responsible for them in almost every way. For some people (like you for instance) having access to divine servies is a big part of their lives. So the U.S. military goes out of its way to make sure its members have every chance of worshiping their deity in a lawful and peaceful manner.
If I believed in a god and I was in a place where I could die at any moment for any reason I'd absolutely demand some kind of access to my religion--no matter what it was.
All hail Bob.
...or kill me!

That's what "freedom to peaceably assemble" means. What's the problem?
[...it is only Christians one is allowed to be intolerant of nowadays, it seems.]
You just said that Christians have the freedom to meet, just like any other group...where's the intolerance?

Tolerance = political correctness, apparently. Tolerance and acceptance of people who are different - oh, no!
Well, I suppose that in his world, Ken Ham == Christian.
To everyone else, Ken Ham == loon. The kind of loon you wouldn't want anyone in power to be deluded enough to take seriously.
The comment from PZ Myers that he was complaining about:
" Ken Ham, chief wackaloon at Answers in Genesis, was invited to speak
at a Pentagon prayer breakfast.
Just let that sink in.There are people at the Pentagon who are in charge of planning where your sons and daughter and nephews and nieces and other beloved family members and friends will be sent to put their lives at risk. There are military personnel there who can send missiles and bombers anywhere in the world. There are people there who control nuclear weapons.
And they think Ken Ham is a fine-and-dandy, clever feller.
It’s almost enough to make me wish I could pray. It’s not just Ham, eitherit’s that the people with the big guns have prayer breakfasts."

Good GOD!! Say it's not so! How low the government has sunk to let them dirty, filthy heathen unbelievers with their Satan inspired false gods into the Holy Sanctuary that is the Pentagon.
Look numbnuts, just because someone isn't a Christian means fuck all if they're willing to serve their country.
"Of course, if I had been a Muslim and went to the Pentagon to address a Muslim prayer breakfast, I’m sure PZ Myers would not have ranted against thatit is only Christians one is allowed to be intolerant of nowadays, it seems."
Suck it up buddy boy. You've had nearly a thousand years worth of doing the exact same shit to everyone else around you. I think it's about fucking time you guys got a taste of your own medicine.
"it is only Christians one is allowed to be intolerant of nowadays, it seems. "
Not allowing you to tell me how to live my life does not constitute intolerance.
My problem is not with a christian minister having a prayer breakfast with high ranking members of the military. If that's what the military wants...so be it.
My problem is that the Pentagon invited a convicted felon, known liar, and anti-intellectual nut to speak at a prayer breakfast under the guise of "christian prayer". That's not religion. That's disgusting stupidity.
"it is only Christians one is allowed to be intolerant of nowadays, it seems."
And you just got done saying that more than just your religion, but your religion included, had the freedom to meet. Are you just upset that other religions are now considered just as equal? That means that you're intolerant of the others... which means stop being a hypocrite.
You have the freedom to meet; we have the freedom to criticize.
And most Atheists are against all religions, not just Christianity.
it is only Christians one is allowed to be intolerant of nowadays, it seems
He ironically says after stating
Not only do Christians have the freedom to meetbut so do Muslims, Hindus, and almost any other group you could name.
Oh my Gods, don't tell me that guys that have access to WMD's hold Ken Ham as any kind of authority! Please, for my peace sake, say it ain't so! *shivers from terror*
“The military is now one of the most “politically correct” places in the USA.”
PC was invented to avoide giving accidental offense. if you’re offended by muslims serving in the military, that’s not a failure of PC, it’s just a bonus.
"Not only do Christians have the freedom to meet—but so do Muslims, Hindus, and almost any other group you could name.”
That’s not PC, that’s really basic First Amendment stuff. Thus the wiccans on base, the atheists on carriers, the Catholics on submarines… All them there groups.
"Of course, if I had been a Muslim and went to the Pentagon to address a Muslim prayer breakfast, I’m sure PZ Myers would not have ranted against that”
Depends on if you were a Muslim Creationist or not, i’d guess.
"it is only Christians one is allowed to be intolerant of nowadays, it seems.”
Oh, such a victim.
