lol, I think you missed the point of the deviation - still, nicely put from an evolutionary viewpoint.
Isn't this partly using the same 'fact' that we're also very closely related to the banana?
Besides, if we are 'Primates' like the chimp and the monkey, then why aren't other primates allowed on passenger airlines? Isn't that being racist?

Well, you can't deny the idea's got a peel.
"Isn't this partly using the same 'fact' that we're also very closely related to the banana?"
Sharing a handful of genes is not "very closely related" you moron. You share a few common genes with every living thing on the planet. You know, that whole common descent thing we keep telling you about? Yeah, that's one of the ways we arrived at that conclusion.

Oh, please, for the love of your god, tell me you didn't get that from that fucking lunatic Ray Comfort. He pulled some stupid shit about calling airlines and asking if his "relative" could fly on their airline. He found it amusing when he told them his "relative" was an Orangutan. I found it amusing he was making an ass of himself without realizing it.
Did you check his art? Boy this guy is a total cunt.
"Don't make evolution make a primate out of you" Oh, how smaaaaart, what a spark of genious... what a fucking dolt, sheesh...
"Isn't this partly using the same 'fact' that we're also very closely related to the banana?"
A very poor strawman. We do share a common ancestor with banana trees; however, no reasonably intelligent being could conclude that we are "very closely related."

(Sighs...) Unfortunately, you aren't the first person on here to use that one, which isn't even remotely funny.

I'll tell you what: if they ask, we'll let them.
"Why aren't other primates allowed on passenger airlines?"
Well duh. They'd be shrieking and jumping around and making a mess and generally turning the plane into a tiny Hell for all the other passengers.
Hey wait... if that's true, then why are children allowed on passanger airlines?
We aren't very closely related to the banana, relatively speaking. We probably only share something like 40% of our DNA with a banana.
Chimps and monkeys are different species, not different races, so no. Plus, how would they pay?
Well, I wouldn't say closely related to a banana. Yes, we are related to the banana, but we're more closely related to mushrooms. And we're much more closely related to any other primate that to either of those.
And I could have sworn that Ray Comfort used the "Then why aren't other primates allowed on passenger airlines?" argument before. (Handy Tip: if any argument has ever been used by Ray Comfort, it's probably a good idea not to use it. Most atheists -- not just atheists, most sane people -- consider Ray Comfort to be something of a joke.)
Well, "primates" is a biological order. Within different orders you get different families. And within families you get different genera (in case you don't know the word, "genera" is the plural of "genus", but I doubt you know that word either.) And within genera you different species.
Passenger airlines were build by Homo sapiens to be used by Homo sapiens . They were not built to be used by "every animal that belongs to the same order as human beings" or "everything that belongs to the same family as human beings." They were built for human beings.

The key is, just because we have a common ancestor and thereby fall into the same order doesn't mean we're exactly the same. It means we share a more recent common ancestor with them than we do with living things in different orders. In the time since that common ancestor we'll have evolved. (Here's another hint: that's why we have lower levels of classification like family, genus, and species.) Different species are classified as different species because they are different . You can't call it racist, because most people use the term to describe unfairly discriminating against other members of our species based on something as superficial as skin color or ethnicity. I suppose you could call it speciesism. But, depending on what other primate you're specifically talking about, it might as well be "genus-ism" or "family-ism".
This is like saying "Both house cats and tigers belong to the same family. If both house cats and tigers are felines, how come I'm allowed to have a pet cat, but not a pet tiger?"
You see how stupid that sounds?
Confused?
